- With various buildings and campuses depending on your course, they are equipped with latest technology and systems. Labs are open 24/7
- The campus is very easily accessible, close to the city centre and student accommodations, with short bus ride/walk
- Lecturers are very welcoming and friendly, can reach out to them for feedback or doubts at any point.
Dislikes
- As the course is more practical, classes are pretty limited and only a few hours every week.
- Lecturers though knowledgeable can't help us much during group projects etc, some of them don't have practical knowledge on the softwares.
- You can mostly expect feedbacks from the lectures rather than the methods to solve a problem (depends on the area of the pipeline and the lecturer)
Campus Life
- There are 2 main campuses: Talbot campus (Poole) and Lansdowne campus (Town centre)
- Talbot campus has the Students' Union, Sports BU Gym, Fitness studios, Sports hall, Art exhibition display, Cafe, Libraries, Talbot medical, Kitchen and Bar, Career centre. This campus has a Faculty of Media and Communication, Science and Technology, and Undergraduate programs while the Lansdowne campus holds the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences, Business School postgraduate programs and the Westin library.
- There's many clubs and festivals but some that I've been to are the Diwali event by the Indian society club at University's Pub—Old Fire Station—and other club events by the kpop society and the animation society.
- Our Faculty also holds the yearly BFX festival for the VFX and Animation students where a bunch of masterclasses and workshops are held.
Fees
- £14100 for 3 years for tuition; I got an academic excellence £1,500 scholarship in the first year only. This fee was for international students at that time.
- We also need to pay for the Health insurance, once at the beginning of joining the course – somewhere around 1 1/2 or 2 lakhs at the time I was joining
- The fees were charged at once at the beginning of every year to some international students.
- Monthly expenses vary from person to person based on their way of living. Around £600 to £900 can be expected.
