- The university is very inclusive and accommodating. There is no extra pressure to do everything, everyone can learn at their own pace and get the support they need to complete each module.
- The infrastructure and campus vibe is really good if you stay on campus—lots of activities to participate in without any commitment.
Dislikes
- My curriculum in particular could have been better.
- Less networking events and placement talks.
I chose this university because of following factors: - The campus was in a city which was a major factor when compared to Warwick which is a college town. Cities are easier to live in and more comfortable. - As compared to Imperial which has a good reputation, this was a cheaper and more comfortable place than the hustle and bustle of London. - You get to experience and interact with other courses which is kind of an advantage as you need that change sometimes. - The college holds a good ranking and the fee is less compared to other universities. The best part is all International students are guaranteed student accommodation by the university which is a relief.

- The university is very, very welcoming to international students. They have all the relevant facilities available to make an international student feel at home.
- Manchester as a city is very friendly to Indians (or people of South Asian origin), so you don't feel out of place there.
- There are several extracurricular activities and groups you can join - some even get you college credits.
Dislikes
- For courses in social sciences in particular, there is low placement opportunity. Students must find career opportunities themselves, although many companies keep coming in general to the university on open days.
I chose this particular program for the excellent faculty and their research. I chose the university because it gave a unified university feeling, and not independent colleges/buildings (like we mostly see in London). Overall experience - 10/10. Good faculty, good staff, a very nice city, very nice university building.

- Beautiful Infrastructure
- Highly specialized staff and industry-class equipments
- Bloomberg Terminals and extensive library dating back to the 1800s
Dislikes
- Can be expensive to live (depending on location)
- Can be daunting for those who have never lived alone
- More focused on self-study as compared to the Indian schooling system; great lecturers nevertheless.
It is one of the top Russell Group universities so choosing Manchester over other cities was a no-brainer. My overall experience has been incredibly fulfilling and would recommend the university.

- If you’re looking forward to write conceptual based essays on your own understanding then this is perfect. They give you time to write essays and provide you with several readings as wells PPTs. This course is more theoretical based than practical based remember that CIPD skill development subject is the only course where you’ll gain more hands-on knowledge. Rest you have to learn excel sheets and everything on your own.
- Networking is very important. From day 1 at the University of you’ll be bombarded with companies visiting and talking about graduate schemes. Fill as many as you can and connect with them on linkedIn since they can guide you better how to pass interview rounds etc. It also provides you with referrals and you get closer to understanding company’s motto, values and culture.

- Part time: start looking for it as soon as you land and carry like 15-20 copies of your resumes from India. Target places like Arndale and Trafford center or Salford for part time that provides you with legal minimum wage at least. However, it depends upon you if you want to work part-time or not as mostly you don’t get time to do so and at the end of the day, you’re very exhausted. Everything is quite expensive here in terms of food, so try to get as much of ration as possible and cook your own food. 6. You can buy groceries and clothes from Longsight if you like to bargain.
It has been good overall with friends from all over the country. Career fairs give you an opportunity to network with more and more companies and connect with them on LinkedIn to get referrals. The events keep you engaged, and the assignments help you with conceptual learning rather than rote memorization.

I choose to study Master’s from Alliance Manchester Business School because of its stellar reputation. My course is ranked as the 27th best post graduate business management degree in the world by QS rankings 2021.This course offers access to many extra-curricular activities to hone practical knowledge of the current dynamic corporate and participating in such an academic program will definitely allow one to sharpen and enhance their skills. It was extraordinary once in a lifetime experience. I cannot give enough justification and stress enough on how important it is to have a global study experience. It was worth every pound I spent. It gave me confidence, personality, a lot to learn and been able to expand my opportunities globally.
I choose UoM because of its overall ranking plus the diversity in their student body really attracted me. I felt like I could easily adjust to the environment there, which I did.
My program when I entered was in the top 5 in the world and was the best choice for me when I considered tuition fees, employment statistics (post-graduation), the program structure, and support available for the students. It is been interesting. There definitely been times where i did not enjoy myself, but overall a positive experience.
The University of Manchester is highly ranked in the UK as well as all over the world. The course was complete of my interest. Manchester was my dream place. It was amazing. Being the student representative of my course, I made a lot of progress in myself and made a few good connections with the staff.
