  • I used to stay off campus. I came to know about my accommodation through an online portal. My accommodation was in a central London zone. Challenges faced in my accommodation were sometimes the noise. But overall, the accommodation was a solid 4/5.
  • The staff was helpful; the study area, the lawn and the courtyard – everything was up to date. The laundry area was always clean. Even the common area and lobby used to be very happening.

  • I think 50% of the batch secures the job within 6 months and approximately 90% in 3 years of graduation. The average salary range starts from 26000 GBP per year. Students find jobs in all kinds of ways where there is a will, there is a way. I know people who got a job as soon as they applied, and I know people who were ready to leave and book their one-way ticket back home but got a job offer last minute. You can apply for jobs through the university portal, target jobs, LinkedIn, and Indeed.

  • The difficulty was not that much if we paid attention to the lectures and their guidance and it needed to be more theoretical and practical.

  • The positive aspect was that rather than just giving exams we had to submit assignments and the negative part was that there was plagiarism which used to detect even when we did our assignments on our own,

Fees

  • My Course Fees was pounds 27,250. and had given 2000 pounds as deposit, the rest had 12,000 or something had to pay at the start of the college and the remaining amount was paid after 6 months of enrollment.
  • My rent was 1,250 pounds per month, on an average monthly expense was rent- 1250 pounds, transport was- 100 pounds a month, and grocery was 60 pounds a month.

  • The difficulty of the course curriculum was medium, the modules in the course were more inclined towards practical learning with only one module being theoretical it was on AI Ethics and research.
  • There was heavy focus on data based outcomes and the exams on the statistics module was one of the hardest in the university with a fail rate upto 70% but luckily there were accommodations made.
  • There were 3 Indians who were enrolled in my course.

Fees

  • The total fees of my course was 27,950 pounds and was charged yearly.
  • I didn't avail hostel in case of university accommodation the monthly charges including all the bills would have been 650 Pounds per month.
  • The monthly expenses for me was around 1250. With 750 pounds going for flat rent and 500 pounds for food and groceries and another 100 to 150 pounds going for travelling and entertainment.

  • I went through agents and online platforms but most agents are helpful, one should be careful while checking for accommodation online. I saw a lot of people getting scammed online in London and it's usually a bit tough so; I would highly recommend everyone to grab university accommodation as it's first come first serve and the accommodation inside is nice so go ahead with it.
  • If looking for off-campus, there are two accommodations right out, which are good as well.

  • The level of difficulty was moderate but challenging at times. The Modules were a mix of practical and theory which made it more fun.
  • Positives – Great classrooms and Lecturers, Access to Bloomberg terminals for Finance courses made it very good to get a taste of professional data analysis, There were Tutorials where the formulas were discussed in detail and questions were solved.
  • Negatives – Quant Heavy course- MY course specifically was quant heavy and you have to learn statistics and mathematics atleast till 12th level.
  • There were 5 lectures per week and 5 Tutorials per week. The timing cannot be specified as it can differ from morning to evening.
  • The course does prepare you well for the corporate roles, with great industry insights and practical applications. But as the UK job market is worse now, it is hard to procure a job.

Fees

  • My total expenses for 1 year was - Rs. 55L
  • Scholarship received from State Govt - 38.5L
  • Tuition - 28.5L
  • Accommodation Rent - 14,50,000
  • Food (Tiffin Service) - 2,50,000 (5 times a week)
  • Other expenses include - Eating out, Travelling and Liesure activities.
  • My rent is a bit higher cause I chose the accommodation right opposite to my campus and lived alone in a studio. Students can choose private housing or even University housing and share their rooms with other folks which can decrease the rent significantly.
