What Students Say
Likes
- The way of education and education system was good
- Diverse Culture
- The faculty was very good and friendly
Dislikes
- Commute time was too much
- There was a graveyard on the college campus
- Too much time gap between lectures which led to a lot of time wastage
Course Curriculum
-
The difficulty was not that much if we paid attention to the lectures and their guidance and it needed to be more theoretical and practical.
-
The positive aspect was that rather than just giving exams we had to submit assignments and the negative part was that there was plagiarism which used to detect even when we did our assignments on our own,
Admission Experience
-
Applied to-
Queen Mary university
Manchester University
London Business School
Royal Holloway UniversityRejected-
Manchester University- Due to the criteria of the university and the cut-off as well and my IELTS was waived off by Queen Mary University so I didn't gave the IELTS exam as well and i got admission by MOI and Manchester had a compulsory IELTS
London Business School- Still don't know the status of the application yetConfirmation From-
Royal Holloway
Queen Mary University -
I choose Queen Mary University as it was in the central london, was one of the best university across UK and was in top 100 at that time as well Queen Mary University was also a russell group university and has one of the biggest campus across london. Also got my interested subject and course so was the best option.
-
IDP did my entire application. has to deposit 2000 pounds after getting acceptance letter from them.
-
The Minimum IELTS at that time was 5.5 but also that was waved off by my college when i submitted my MOI.
-
The overall Admission process was smooth and easy. So had a wonderful and stressless experience
-
I applied for September intake, as my bachelor's was completed in April of the same year so I thought rather than wasting my time i would go for September intake which is also the most famous intake as most of the students go into the same intake and all university and courses have seats in the same intake, My application time took 1 month in which application to acceptance was happened
Class Schedule
-
There were 3 classes scheduled in a day 2 in morning and 1 in late evening, and the classes used to be 3 days a week.
-
My class strength was of 15 students and same amount of students in lectures, but in seminars we were more than 100 students in a class as whole marketing was divided into 2 groups for those seminars which were common subject among those.
-
60% of the students used to be Indian that's what the college told us on the very first day.
Faculty
-
I don't know the faculty-to-student ratio, but the teaching method was very good the classes were sufficient to teach you everything.
-
Yes, the faculty members assist students in finding jobs as well as the university has a job fair every 2 weeks to help students land their dream job and to help and guide them on how to get a job as well, And i admire all of the faculty to the utmost level as they all help students to there best and are always there to guide them in their particular field.
Campus Life
- Only 2 campuses as of my knowledge and both are in London itself.
- All of those facilities are available on the campus including student accommodation and a grocery store.
- I don't have the detailed information for all the extracurricular. but i used to participate in football related activities and there were many of those in a month and were amazing as well.
Part Time Jobs
-
Yes there are many on campus jobs available for students across all fields i dont know how many students acquire the job but 3 of my friends got on campus job in their respective field, while studying you can only work for 20hrs a week and after studies you can work for more than 40hrs a week. if you are consistent and well profiled then its not that hard to land a job.
-
Working is preferred at almost all the places apart from warehouse and kitchen work for vegetarian for indian students to apply for a job the most easy way is to search on indeed or linkedin.
Placement
- Only 50% of the students land job in the first 6 months as there is a lot of competition so things take time for a fresher student.
- 30k pounds to 50k pounds is the average salary per ctc, online job portals are the most common way to land a dream job.
Accommodation
-
My accommodation was off campus and i found it through university living which is a service provider to find and book accommodations to students according to there needs and requirements, My monthly rent was 1250 pounds which included of daily breakfast, 24hrs beverages, Study and playing room, Every once a week room service, A bicycle from there side and a gym membership with a personal led tv.
-
My challenge was to find a good accommodation at a worthy rate cause i got late in finding accommodation and almost all of them were sold out so will suggest to book accommodation as soon as possible or else you will end up paying more than it should have been.
-
My university was 40 mins away from my accommodation. and Indian students stay across whole city and no particular place mostly everyone prefers it at walking distance to the university.
Exams
- IELTS was required but my university had waved off IELTS for the students who had submitted MOI from their bachelor college and had studied at Mumbai University or the college should be affiliated by Mumbai University, SOP, CV, LC, and all the bachelor and 12th mark sheet are the necessary documents to be submitted.
Fees
- My Course Fees was pounds 27,250. and had given 2000 pounds as deposit, the rest had 12,000 or something had to pay at the start of the college and the remaining amount was paid after 6 months of enrollment.
- My rent was 1,250 pounds per month, on an average monthly expense was rent- 1250 pounds, transport was- 100 pounds a month, and grocery was 60 pounds a month.
Scholarship
- No, I didn't, receive any scholarship as I didn't apply for one nor do I know the process of a scholarship, and yes one of my friend got a scholarship of 2000 pounds but I don't know the process of one as well and i don't know what is the eligibility criteria to get a scholarship as well.
- I don't know how many students receive an on an average scholarship a year.
