I chose this university because it's a Russel group university. My course ranking was also good. And the city is student-friendly.

Dislikes:

  • Not the London level exposure .
  • Airport access for international travel to India/other Asian countries is from Manchester or London (1-3 hr train ride) .
  • Not very creative crowd as the college tends towards science students. null

I chose this university as it is one of the top-rated transport studies school in the world with amazing research output and faculty. In transport planning, Leeds Uni is known everywhere. It has a great alumni network as well. The program also had employer presentations, which helped me land a job.

Dislikes:

  • Lacks in company visits .

I chose this university for my particular curriculum and as the degree is associated with BPS and leads to the path of Chartered occupational psychologist.

Dislikes:

  • I did not like the teaching style of teachers as during lectures 90% of the time they only used to read out the slides instead of explaining. null
  • I did not like the practical aspect of course as they did not help with placements at all or invited more companies for the same. null
  • I did not like the exam pattern as well, there was only 1 assignment submission required for each module which used to put a lot of pressure on grades and there was no other chance for grades to be improved which also made you lose interest while studying the module. null
  • The feedbacks of guide were not very helpful for dissertation as it felt I did everything on my own without much of a help which later degraded my final grades. null

I chose this university as the university prospectus was very appealing and the University Overall grading was extremely positive to apply for the course. The financial stability and a change of lifestyle also drove me to accept the offer letter. Due to some personal problems in my life, I was looking for a complete change of plans in my life and the University of Leeds seemed like one of the best options at that moment. The modules were also to the point according to my field of study. However, my experience overall here was not as good as I expected, better teaching at such a prestigious university but 80% of the course was based on self-study as professors used to read out the slides they had prepared earlier. The practical approach was very limited, it used to be covered only once a week or once in two weeks for all the modules. The fees were also double the actual University fees for British citizens. Due to the recession my timings for the course did not turn out too well as there are very few jobs for graduates in this role, however, only experienced people get the opportunity. So eventually I would rate my overall experience as mediocre in terms of what I expected it to be before shifting continents.

Dislikes:

  • No placement as such .

I chose this university because, out of the acceptances, this was the only course that provided marketing with analytics so that I could get exposed to the practical side as well. The overall experience is average.

Dislikes:

  • One aspect I dislike about the University of Leeds is the occasional administrative inefficiency, which can lead to delays and frustrations in handling student queries and processes. null
  • Additionally, the large campus size can sometimes make it challenging to navigate and foster a sense of community among all students. null

I chose this college because of university ranking, academic ranking, employment opportunities along with ranking, multi cultural etc. The University of Leeds offers a vibrant academic environment, renowned for research excellence and diverse programs. Students enjoy a dynamic campus life with extensive support services, cultural activities, and state-of-the-art facilities. The city’s rich history and thriving social scene enhance the overall student experience, fostering personal and professional growth.

Dislikes:

  • The university should be more specific about their course structure. null
  • There should be options for several modules as people come from different academic backgrounds. null

The University of Leeds has a decent rank and is situated in a beautiful city with loads to give you as a student. It is small enough to understand British culture. The course that they were providing was unique and exactly what I wanted. The overall experience was filled with ups and downs but it has made me a different person altogether. It is not only about completing my master's but also studying abroad has made me a better and stronger person. It was challenging but there was so much to learn and adapt to along with studies.

Dislikes:

  • I dislike how I have to climb a literal hill to get to my university. null
  • I dislike how I have to fill a million forms to get a simple permission and how small their threshold is for plagiarism check. null

This university has specific modules I wanted to study and the university is ranked among top 100 in the world. What I love the most about my university is that there is help for literally everything you need, be it academic help, job opportunities guidance, mental health, financial health etc. I chose my program because I wanted to join the pharmaceutical industry and this course is the absolute foundation for it. Overall, I am glad I took a risk to come this far from my comfortable zone. I am now capable of doing things, I never thought I could do. I love how I have experienced what UK universities have to offer and now I cannot wait to make my impact in the world.

Dislikes:

  • As mentioned earlier, there was no placement cell of the university. It held fairs but they weren't enough as they just helped discovering potential companies that a person can apply to. But without a dedicated placement cell, it becomes very tough for foreign students. null

The university was resourceful and helped expanding my network. Academics were great and I felt I was supported throughout. I was majorly disappointed about the placement opportunities that the university failed to bring for their study abroad students. That diminishes your ROI greatly.

Dislikes:

  • Moving class to class in a different building is quite a hastle in this university. There is quite an uphill even between the buildings making it very tiring. null

University experience is really good. You have plenty of students with similar backgrounds trying to understand the same topics you can discuss with each other. University have some doubt clearing sessions which help to grasp topic in more depth.
