- People are kind and very helpful all around the campus and city.
Dislikes
- The university should be more specific about their course structure.
- There should be options for several modules as people come from different academic backgrounds.
The University of Leeds has a decent rank and is situated in a beautiful city with loads to give you as a student. It is small enough to understand British culture. The course that they were providing was unique and exactly what I wanted. The overall experience was filled with ups and downs but it has made me a different person altogether. It is not only about completing my master's but also studying abroad has made me a better and stronger person. It was challenging but there was so much to learn and adapt to along with studies.
Course Curriculum
The curriculum is hectic for a master's programme but quite fulfilling. Everything is provided to you beforehand and there is a lot of help from the faculty as well.
Exams
A minimum of 70% in undergraduate, at least IELTS 6, 2 LORs one academic and one professional, SOP and an updated resume. Amity University CGPA- 7.5 (Undergraduate) 10th-9.2 CBSE 12th-84% CBSE - Yes, I had to submit SOP, LORs and CV. Include your journey throughout and why you want to get into this university. - Interview Round: No, I didn't have any such interview however had to give IELTS.
Placement
In abroad, for my courses and this segment of the market, one has to do their research. You can build strong connections which can guide you in the job search. Several companies do come to visit the campus where one can get an idea of the hiring season. It is must to attend for networking events.
Fees
The figure may vary from year to year. For me it was 25,000 pounds. This was only the tuition fees, the stay is separate.
Faculty
Several esteemed faculty in the university came from different parts of the world. It was always amazing to learn so much from all of them. All of them were very approachable and were always interested to know more about India and our culture.
Campus Life
Leeds campus life is one of the most amazing, with so many activities and places to visit. Some of the facilities that I loved were 4 libraries, a student union, and several places to study or hang out with friends. The campus is filled with cute animals and lush green plants as well.
Hostel
I chose to stay in private student accommodation, there are several websites where you can check those things and you can get great deals as well.
