Dislikes
- Limited exposure of practicals related to the course
- No placement year for Neuropsychology course
Course Curriculum
- The syllabus was pretty updated for recent times. There were a lot of tasks and assignments given, which included lots of presentations and research papers' discussions, seminars, and guest lectures.
- There were 45 students in my course, and our classes used to start from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The number of classes used varies each semester, but on average could say not less than 3
Admission Experience
- Had chosen this university as it was the only one offering MSc in clinical neuropsychology in the whole UK for January intake. The university ranking was too bad, including the reviews, compared to others.
- Additionally, it was cost-friendly for an average Indian middle-class family to afford. The university also offers a scholarship for international students who have secured more than 7.5 cgpa in their bachelor's degree.
Faculty
- All of them were great and very supportive. They were always present at the time of need, not like our Indian professors, and were very non-judgmental, trying to make each student comfortable and welcome.
Campus Life
- The library was huge and great with all sorts of books, journals, and research papers, including online access.
Part Time Jobs
- 20 hours per week allowed for students to work with a minimum wage of £12 per hour. Finding a part-time job is very easy in the whole of the UK currently, but also not too difficult. I would say it's very moderate to get it on and off campus.
Placement
- Minimum £22000 per annum can be earned. There are a lot of recruiting companies that come to the campus every 2-3 months, as the university holds job festivals very often.
Accommodation
- Online platforms can be used, such as: university website (accommodation), Unidays, right to move, Spareroom. On-campus/university accommodation for a shared house the monthly rent was £530 with facilities like 1 kitchen with all the appliances kettle, dinning, fridge and freezers, oven, microwave etc., 2-3 bathrooms, 1 living room/lounge., heater, water and electricity; outside campus the accommodations costs £550 r.p.m (min) with all the mentioned facilities.
Exams
- My scores:
- IELTS 7.5, and the required score criteria for the university was 6
Fees
- The fee was 16 Lacs INR, but I can apply for a scholarship for an international student.
