SVKM's Institute of Technology Dhule, Engineering

Reviewed on Dec 1, 2019(Enrolled 2017)

Remarks

It's pretty good for the people with double digits scores in the mhcet. You won't find Such infrastructure in any nearby college. College is pretty strict regarding attendence and acedemics one might not take this college loosely

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is fairly updated, being a computer student we were taught python and r language in the 3rd and 4th sem respectively. The college is under DBATU University and not in the home University NMU. Exams are conducted very strictly following the semester pattern. 2 internal assessments,1 midsem and 1 final exam is conducted in any semester.

College Events

Events celebrated are fewer than one might expect, cultural days, annual gathering or splash as how we like to call it are celebrated with zeal. Freshers is also celebrated, sports days are also open for all.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The best thing about the college is the fee structure, the fee is very low according to engineering standards, currently a student from the general category has to pay 66 thousands rupees only which can again be reduced is scholarships are applicable (they are easy to get).

Fees and Financial Aid

College does not offer any scholarships on its own but allows and welcomes the government to do so. General category students can avail 50% off by ebc so can the obc's the sc/st/nt students hardly have to pay any fees.

Campus Life

4.5

E-yantra is being conducted so is nptel(search the web too know more), labs are well equipped with the latest pc's and necessary components. All the labs have assistants to guide students. If your project is good enough, then college might fund it.

Alumni/Alumna

They might have been helpful if we weren't the first batch! Yes we are the first batch(2017-21), since this form wants to write 200 words I'll just have to keep writing else it won't allow me to jump to next question.

Admission

Any individual from any state can apply for admission via MH-CET or JEE Mains. I scored enough to make it in the first round and froze the seat.i gained admission via MH-CET which is preferable over Jee for being easier overall

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is very helpful and very frank, everything is explained very well either by solving it on the board or by demonstrating it over a video over the smart screens. Teachers are well experienced and well qualified

PES College of Engineering: Overview of the college

Likes

The campus of the college is vast with a natural environment
Many facilities like library, sophisticated labs, and classrooms are provided by the college
The Teachers cover each and every point of the syllabus and guide the students.

Dislikes

The syllabus is a little bit outdated, that is some points in the syllabus may seems boring and not applicable in the real world.
The Teachers should use the right techniques for teaching which makes the students more engaging in the class.
The menu of the canteen must contain some health option in a budget friendly way.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

My perspective about my college!!

Likes

Such a huge campus and it is located not far from the city so bus and autos are always available.
Our canteens serves Misal Pav which is next level.
For a city like Amravati and a college like ours, having a tech fest is a dream but since 2022, we have been hosting a tech event called Techlons.

Dislikes

Crowd is not that amazing as most students are non-serious over here.

Placement Experience:

TCS trains us in the third year and L&T Infotech and TCS are the ones who hired students. Almost half the students were taken by these two companies with an annual salary of 6 lakhs or so. For a freshers to work in such companies is a privilege and I am glad, we get this opportunity at our college.

A Brief Theory Round Of Aissms College Of Engineering

Likes

The campus is quite big and there are proper laboratories for every subject , also the faculty is quite helpful and helps student to settle up and get along so that the teaching and doubt interaction is built up from the starting
We have metro station right outside the gate of college so the travelling is quite simple
It's also good to have a college stationary right inside the campus and with discount too!

Dislikes

The benches are small which kind off makes the students uncomfortable to sit for more than 2 hours in that space
Canteen hygiene is not maintained at all
There's no underground parking for students and lack of space for parking of two wheelers

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in Aissms College Of Engineering in comparison to the other one institute of Information technology. I personally have even saw seniors getting placements when they were in placement round room. And looking at all the boards the college has put up and I can definitely says that the college does get placements and companies do come

Likes

Faculty and teaching assistants are so friendly and are with great experience and wisdom.
Other than education many other activities take place like NCC, NSS, sports competitions, inter IIT competitions, etc.,
Ragging, student and gender abuse are strictly banned

Dislikes

sometimes we have to work till midnight for any tech teams, any assignments, etc., if the submission is not done in proper time. But faculty don't keep any pressure or stress on students to do certain tasks

Placement Experience:

Job placements starts from 3rd year 2 nd semester or 4th year 1st semester. Many Multi National Companies, like Amazon, Google, Sony, etc.,, come to hire students. Almost 70 % of the students get jobs. Atfer completing graduation, few people begin their startups and other businesses with the knowledge gained in the university.

Some departments here were really great like ETC and Mechanical with a unique culture going on
AIML and AIDS being new branches here are still doing their job very well for the students

Dislikes

The Students section not really tends to help ,as i saw many financially weak students facing the problem of 1 time payment fees and their request for part payments option is always rejected
Infrastructure is decent but in summer season the water coolers are just useless there ,no cooler will give you cold water

Course Curriculum Overview:

Some courses were to the point like IOT was well designed and DSA too with java programming side by side ,still as i said AIML is new branch and needs much enhancements ,the areas where they can improve was always practicals and labs those were always taken casual as i remember
