Terna engineering college. One of the best choice in navi mumbai.

Overall it is good choice to be in Terna engineering college. It is one of the A grade colleges in Navi mumbai with National Accreditation committee approval for more than3 of its courses. Computer science, extc and electronics.

Course currriculum can be improved and more advanced technologies can be incorporated in syllabus like Internet of things and new emerging hot technologies. Exam structure than we used to follow was of mumbai university. I cannot say its one of the best but it was decent.

Placement and job opportunities are very good. In our time out of 150 eligible students 95 got placed in Tata consultancy services itself and rest others also got placed in multi national companies and others. Overall it was nearly 80-90 percent of students got there placement.

We have many events which continue to evolve to be the best with every passing year. Our biggest event is Resonance which is cultural and sports event. Technical event Avalon which is national level paper presentations and many more events. Sports event sporttec is also very good.It is mostly organised by student committee and college gave full support to all these activities.

Fee structure is also decent but many times felt like the fees paid and the services provided are not matching somewhere but when compared to other colleges of same level ours is always leading. There were less charges which other colleges levy and also no restriction to buy things from specific shops.

Scholarships avialabl are of maharashtra government like Ebc and caste scholarship for sc, st and obc. There is also scholarship provided by college of 12000 for toppers in every stream every year. Most of the nationalised bank gives education loan for afmission in this college

Few labs are quite very impressive and well maintained like apple lab and digital electronics lab. Sports is also played very widely in Terna. Not only boys but girls also take part in all of sports including cricket, football, box cricket, volleyball. Intercollege competitions are very interesting to watch.

Though i didn't stay in hostel but got chance to visit hostel many times. It was also good the food given was also good but there was no compulsion to get food from mess only, we can go outside and eat. There were many games like carrom table tennis for entertainment.

Alumni network is best that i have ever heard of. There is separate cell which manages alumni portal and see that more alumnus are getting involved in activities arranged for alumni. With regular alumni meeting's and career talks for its students.

I got admission through Mh-CET EXAM.Then we have to register on DTE website where we have to give 100 colleges of our choice in which we want admission. There are 4 cap rounds if we didn't get college of our choice in first round. We get college on basis of merit and cutoff defined by each college.

Faculty for our stream was average, most of the syllabus was uncovered. But library facility was one of the best in the class with all required books available in sufficient quantity. Practical knowledge is less as compared to theory, but few teachers are very good got to learn many things not only subject related but how to proceed in career.
