Remarks

Most of the things about the college is good and positive. It has been a good experience studying there. But a bad thing about the college is, you need to be very punctual, "don't be late to enter, don't be early to leave the college".

Entrance Preview

I was able to sit for AIEEE 2012 only and score a valid score. But since score was low I didn't get a college like NITs, etc to get admitted, so as RSET was nearby my home and had a good infrastructure and other facilities (sports, hygienic food, clean toilets, etc) I thought to opt for RSET.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure was good to be understood and to progress with. Since my department is Electronics & Telecommunication, which has the best faculty to my knowledge was very helpful for discussions based on new technologies or new projects which may be considered as research. The first year, course was something additive to our higher secondary studies and from second year onwards the main-stream subjects were taught.

Internships Opportunities

Well the college don't provide internship but the placement cell might help a student to get some reference where to go for internship. For our electronics & telecommunication Engineering dept. Vodafone, BSNL etc are referred. Stipend for a fresher is like 15K-25K per month.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement cell works hard for the placements of the fellow students. Companies like Vodafone, HCL, IBM, Indian Army, etc. have come for campus placement selections. In the year 2015, for campus placements company named Good through Solutions, Bangalore in whose recruitment 4 of the ETE students were shortlisted. Then, TNS World had its recruitment were 6 of ETE students from the college were selected.

College Events

4.5

Our college had been celebrating Technical cum cultural fest each year that is named as "Consencio". Where renowned artists like Zubeen Garg, KK were invited. Cultural programs consisted Mr. & Miss Consencio, dance, singing, other competitions (solo/group), whereas the technical fest consists of Robotics, gaming, coding, etc competitions. In these fests many other colleges like AEC, NITS Mirza, etc. have participated from Guwahati and from other cities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is a private college, the fee-structure is as expected. Might seem expensive, but what the institute gives a student is also equal. Rs 1,30,000 per year with facilities like sports, library with varieties of books, expensive infrastructure, medical support and more. But in a place like NE, it might have been lower.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility is available, the college offers loans to all students seeking for from Punjab National bank. And scholarships are given to the meritorious students scoring more than 90%, 80% and other categories (schemes changes time to time).

Campus Life

5

Along with a good teaching field, the campus life is great. The workers, official staffs, teachers from other departments and other persons who come in contact are helpful and friendly. The campus is nice to hangout with friends during break times as its surrounding is clean and tidy, there is garden to sit, fountains that gives a cool feel. Coming to classes, gender ratios are almost equal, not a big difference, though it depends on the departments. As mentioned, the campus has sports facility, so extracurricular includes sports like table tennis, basketball, pool, etc. and other competitions are mostly organized during college fest as mentioned, that includes robotics, debates, gaming, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are much better than rest of the colleges in the city, with Wi-Fi in each floor, 24X7 security, rooms and other commodities which a student needs is good. The food served is vegetarian and hygienic. And the hostel is just few adjacent to

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors have been nice to each juniors and everyone. They've guided their juniors who have gone seeking help from them regarding study materials or exams even helped with extracurricular works.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is relaxed, the lab exams are held separately prior to the theory exams. The theory exams are given 2-3 days of study leave minimum and the timing is also proper. Two practical exams are taken in a day, in the first and the second half resp

Faculty

5

The faculties who taught us and are teaching are great, they're M.Tech or M.E degree holders mostly, from NIT silchar, IIT-G, AEC, and few were BE/B.Tech degree holders undergoing masters degree from well known colleges in Guwahti, Assam. So moving on to

Placement Experience:

As per our seniors and professors, placements are quite good here. EIE (Electronics and Instrumentation), CSE, EE and ECE have more IT sector jobs, ME and CE have scope for core jobs but a high CGPA is required for them, and that's why mostly people go for tech companies after maintaininig a decent CGPA of >= 7.5, could change to >= 8 in the following years. Many poeple got for civil services, GATE and other competitive exams, some go for further studies: national and foreign both. Highest placement would be around 50 LPA for some tech company and average would be 10-11 LPA. Students get eligible for campus placement in the 4th year, subject to having no active backlogs, and having an CGPA >=7.5 as of yet. In the third year, everyone must complete an internship, being it indsutrial or research based. It is recommened for 2 internships in these 4 years. My plans are to sit for placements in the core sector, and do a lot of thigs all together so let me see what happens, we'll change accordingly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is btech and since it is an IIT the faculty are the best in their fields profs here have done PhD from Stanfords of the world and the prof-student ratio is very healthy. Although there are a lot of exams in the ballpark weekly one or the other exam will be there and the exams are very tough but grading is relative.

Since the college was established in 2017, only one batch has passed out till now, ie, the 2021 batch. Students in the 7th Semester are eligible to sit for placements, be it campus or off-campus. For the 2022 batch, till now many students have been already placed in MNCs like TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc. For the 2021 batch, the highest package was around 15LPA and around 50% of students got placed.

Remarks:

Rather than positive remarks, I would give more negative remarks about this college. It could satisfy it's students neither through placement nor through any personality development. Some of the heads of some departments are so ignorant towards student's problems.
