Best College in Kannur

Postives - Good faculty, Great atmosphere, No Rigidity, Events and celeberations, Best college life. Great friends Feasible fee structure. Student parties. Negatives - Canteen Small campus, Not much strictness.

The course curriculum is like any other university. It is very closely related to Calicut University and I think its enough but the exam structure is kinda hectic. This is because you dont get leave in between semester exams.

No our college doesnt provide any internship opportunities. S N College is a aided college. Aswell as I dont think internship is really necessary for undergraduates and also only few post graduation courses are provided here. It mainly focuses on undergraduate courses.

This is the best college to have a great college life. Possibly SN college is the most celebrated college in Kannur. Onam celeberation, Christmas celeberation, Union celebration, College day(3 days event), BBA management fest "Astra", Association Day, Freshers Day, Farewell Day, Magazine Day, Certain events conducted by student parties( SFI, KSU, ABVP), Holi, Election, So i have a lot of memories to talk about when it comes to talk about events and celeberations.

Since it is aided and govt supported, fees is extremely feasible. Onky 1500/- per semester that too if you have applied for e- grandz you dont have to pay anything. That is one of the reasons why there is high demand for this college.

As I have already mentioned. The student can apply for e grandz where he doesnt have to pay the tution fees. The state govt also has provided opportunitirs to avail scholarshio having high merits. Sadly I was not aware of such opportunities and I still regret it.

SN college has been holding overall Kannur champions trophy for more than 15+ years. Sn college is well known for their sports and their alumnies are mostly well known sportpersons. Lately Abdul Samad is selected to Indian Team who is an alumnus. He was my junior.

I dont think there is much ti talk about hostel. Like any other govt collegees, Hostel is only average I guess. Majority of the scholars like to talke rooms outside the hostel. I have 3 friends in my class who lives outside hostel.

Alumni is well managed and often they meetup and held events on spevial days like independence day onam etc. They are not vedy helpful to be honest. Since this is a govt college the college doesnt need any support from outsiders.

Since I got 94.4% in 12th commerce, I was able to get admission for Bcom in the first allotment itself. Its very competitive as majority of the students in Kannur apply to get admitted to this college.

Qualified and standard faculty handled our commerce batch. There were many guest lecturers during my time but they were also appointed based on their skill and qualification. Its very hard to be a permanent lecture here.
