The college is a great college, may be the best college among all the colleges under the Burdwan University. If you want to study then this is the best choice for you in this location. Anti ragging cell, career counseling cell are also present.

The college is affiliated to the BU. The course structure is very good and semester based exams helps to cover a large amount of syllabuses for future reference. But because of the University, sometimes the exams are delayed that affect the course time duration.

The college motivates the students to appear at various competitive examinations conducted by Tata Consultancy Service, Cognizant Technology Solution etc. Every year on an average 50 students get benefited in this respect.

Well equipped labs with up to date accessories for research, a central library with more than over 43,693 volumes of books, 38 periodicals and journals, 9general dailies, andnon-book materials such as reports, pamphlets, maps, 3828 e-journals and 80409 ebooks, and huge computer labs, smart class rooms are always available. NCC and NSS are also there.

The College has an alumni association (Netaji Mahavidyalaya Alumni Association or NMAA) that offers time to time suggestions for the general improvement of the college. They also conducts health check up programs for the students.
