Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose BAMS mostly by chance because there was a common entrance exam for all medical systems, and unfortunately I couldn’t get an MBBS seat. So, I decided to go with BAMS, and honestly, it turned out to be a good decision. Before taking admission, I did not know much about Ayurveda, just like many other students. Most of us got information about it from family, friends, school teachers, or through the internet and social media. The course curriculum is good, but I feel some improvements are needed to make it more practical and useful for students. Subjects like Shalya Tantra, Dravyaguna Vigyana, Agada Tantra, and Samhita can be updated with more modern clinical knowledge. Some other subjects like Shalakya Tantra, Kayachikitsa, and Stri Roga evam Prasuti Tantra also need better practical exposure. Sometimes the syllabus feels too theory-based, and students need more hands-on learning to understand real clinical situations. If modern concepts and practical training are added more effectively, it will help students become more confident and better prepared for their future careers.

Fees and Financial Aid

At first, we've paid a total of Rs.3,10,000 . Like it is for general candidates. College has an NRI quota also where fees is 5000 dollars per year. The given fee of 3,10,000 is to be increased by 5% per year. There is no any such benefits of category reservation or like scholarship is not provided by college. Yes, you can take education loan from banks. They provide Bonafide certificate as well as proper fee structure for bank usage.

Campus Life

3

I really liked that the library has almost all the books and study materials we need, and it is regularly updated, which helps a lot during exams. There is also good computer access for students, making study and research easier. The classrooms are smart and comfortable, with AC facilities and charging points available, which makes daily college life much better. Every year, sports week is organized, and it helps students stay active and enjoy college life beyond academics. There are also activities like Sanskrit club, SPARK programs, and decoration committees, which make the campus more lively and interesting. Overall, the campus environment feels well-managed, supportive, and enjoyable for students.

Admission

It is one of the best private ayurvedic college available in northern part of India. I've been here for 1.5 years and based on that I would say college is good as it has good patient exposure and also good labs are available. Admission is totally based on NEET score. It comes under SKAU. You can apply for it by going to the university website as well contact a counselor for further help.

Faculty

4

Faculties are good. Like at least 3 faculty is present in each department, more numbers could be seen. They are approachable and yes they are supportive too. Like few days back I'd my university exams and yes I got a lot of help from them. They are so much into concept building and clinical approach as we've to practice these in our respective clinics or hospitals out there.. So yeah they are good and supportive. About course structure.. they follow the latest ncism syllabus and take the internal examination based on the same. So, no issues on that.

Night Life

4

College is situated on the main city of chandigarh in sector 46. We've a good night life across the nearby markets like sector 32, sector 22 and more. Like on weekends, sukhna lake is a go to place. For boys hostels are unavailable, and they provide separate hostel for girls which is not inside the college campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As my course is related to medical field the curriculum of BAMS course attracted me a lot because it focuses on both modern and ayurvedic aspect of treatment of different diseases. The curriculum prepares me fully for treating the disease in the real world and becoming a successful doctor. There are some areas of improvement need to be taken in the curriculum is that the modern and ayurvedic techniques should be interlinked and the faculty need to make the students understand how they can treat any disease by using both the knowledge in a practical way. The exam timing is 3 hour per exam and frequency of exams is twice a month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to be a doctor and I trust in Ayurvedic treatment that is why I chose this course. Our all faculty are well educated all are phd scholars. Their teaching method is quite good. There are a minimum of 2 teachers for each department. Our exams are held once a year and always on time. If you are a regular student and you study on a routine basis then it is not very difficult for you to pass exams.
