Best Review on 'Dr. S. & S.S. Ghandhy College of Engineering and Technology, Surat'

I like the curriculum credit system and also the ESE CA exam pattern so I choose these course.The curriculum prepares you for real-world applications but not completely. In the course curriculum you can change 2-CA from 1-CA and also include some skills to be completed and achieved. Timings of exams are good but in numericals subject like DOS & ADS you can increase timing to 3 hours.Exams are moderate but some are also difficult.

We have done internship of around 1 month which every student have to do compulsory and other than that the companies also provide internships. Like there is a company which have visited in our college for internship which is city scape which provides internship on architectural and civil engineering fields in which we learn to do planning,live projects ,site execution,etc.

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placement and companies started to visit. L&T, RELIANCE,HITACHI,CIVILTECH,etc. Companies have visited or they have set interview for placement.The highest package in diploma is around 5,00,000 LPA and average package is 2,50,000-3,00,000 LPA. I think 40 to 50% of student getting placement and my plans after diploma is to do BE.

The yearly fees of Ghandhy College is 1500/- for Non-TFWS Boys and for girls and TFWS Boys the fees is 400/-.There is also Sarosh Ghandhy Scholarship in which you will receive the fees you have paid(but you have to be in top 20 of your batch) and there is also post matric scholarship for ST,SC.

Once there is TECHFEST happened in our college and annual and technical festival like Republic Day,Holi,etc. are also celebrated. In Sports there is like cricket, kabbadi, volleyball,chess,table tennis,kho kho,etc. and extracurricular activities like food making,art and craft activity,etc. Almost books are available in library and facilities provided in classroom is light ,fan,classboard, dustbin,etc. Infrastructure is good according to government college.Student Portals provide almost everything about our course including marksheet,exam forms,our personal information,etc. So it's very helpful.

I have applied to Ghandhy College and SSASIT College and I have got a confirmed admission from both colleges but I preferred and selected Ghandhy College over SSASIT College because Ghandhy College is government college and I have to study in government college. You can enter these course by giving 10th exam and after 12th also and the cutoffs for IT department are only high.In admission process you require documents like Aadhar Card,LC certificate,Caste Certificate,10th Marksheet,etc

Faculty to student ratio is 1:30 generally The relationship between faculties and students is good.The faculties are approachable and they give support and help us also. I liked Vaghela Sir,Gaywala Mam because they teach good and solves our doubts easily. I didn't like Vikram Sir, Nikhil Sir because they teach but not approachable as expected. There are 2 Continuous Assessment and 1 End Sem Exam which are conducted by GTU as per course curriculum and if you study good it's easy to pass.So many students fail to clear the exam.The course curriculum is relevant but you can change little like adding or removing some things which are not necessary.

There is gym,cafe, library all things around our college and there is 2 grounds also behind our college. Hostel are closed around 11 pm and campus is same also these as I have not in hostel anytime.Inside the college there is dom,some department to visit and outside the campus there is cafe and there is ground behind to visit.There is some restaurants also.Yes locality is safe at night to roam around college.
