Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course content on thermodynamics and materials is good and real for mechanical engineering. It helps for jobs with examples, but add SolidWorks. Improve with India factory cases. Speed and tests match exams—right hard level, easy to learn.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities at LDCE are quite decent.many students get internship in companies like Reliance, Adani and Torent Power, mostly for like graduate engineer trainee. The stipend usually ranges from ruppee 5000 to 15000, though some start ups offer more. Negative point is that you mostly have to find internship on your own.The college placement cell helps but it's not very proactive for everyone.

Placement Experience

4

Placement of LDCE are decent, specially for core branches and IT related fields. Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester.many companies like TCS , Adani and some local core companies visit the campus. The average package is around 5-6 LPA and highest package goes up to 10-12 LPA depending on branch and company.around 60-70% students get placed every year, others go for higher studies or off campus jobs. After completing my degree, I plan to get a good job in my field and also improve my skills for better future growth.

Fees and Financial Aid

L.D. College of Engineering has a very low and affordable fee structure. The yearly fee is around 1,500 to 2,000, and the total fee for the complete four-year course is approximately 8,000 to 10,000. The fees remain almost the same every year. Students from SEBC, SC, and ST categories can avail government scholarships, which reduce the overall fee burden.

Campus Life

4

Campus life at LDCE is quite active. The library is great for books, but the building infrastructure is old and need better maintenance.while classrooms have projectors, some labs need equipments. There is big ground for sports, but the hostel facilities could be much better.overall, it's good place but need some renovation.

Admission

I applied to colleges like LDCE ,GEC Sector 28, PDPU etc.My first Choice was LDCE because it has good reputation, experienced faculty and affordable fees compared to other colleges.LDCE also has better placement support and a strong alumni network. I got admission in LDCE easily because my rank was good ,so I did not go for gec sector 28.PDPU has very high fees so I did not prefer it even though it is good college. The admission process of LDCE is simple and transparent.Admission is done through ACPC counselling based on GUJCET/JEE Main rank. Cuttof depends on branch and category.overall,my admission experience was smooth and there was no problem during process.

Faculty

5

Most faculties are good and helpful. Teacher to student ratio is okay, so they can give attention properly. Many teachers are friendly and students can ask doubts anytime. Some explain very good and easy to understand. Course is okay, covers all main topics. Exams are twice a semester with internal tests. Exams are not very tough, if you study normally you can clear. Marks are fair. Overall, curriculum is useful.

Night Life

4

LDCE doesn't have typical party nightlife, but the the campus vibe at night is very peaceful. The library usually closes by 8 pm and hostelers have to be back by 10 pm.Most students hang out at the LD canteen or nearby spots like university road for late night snacks. The area very safe even at night. However ,a negative point is that the campus lighting is dim in some areas.

Other Applied Colleges

GEC Sector 28 Gandhinagar | Mechanical

I didn't opt for this college because, LDCE was my first choice for admission ,and I was offered admission because my rank was good.Therfore I didn't opt for GEC Sector 28 College.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did write the course curriculum and Indus university as good and relevant. Overall I chose this course because it has strong fundamentals project work and practical exposure. The curriculum prepares students well for real-world applications and internships, Though it could include more advanced tech technologies and industry certifications exams are regular, each semester and moderate, challenging, encouraging consistent study, but sometimes could be more practical oriented.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and covers all the basic and important subjects related to the field. This course includes both theoretical and practical subjects which influenced my decision to choose it. The syllabus helps in building strong fundamentals, but it is still more theory-oriented and less industry-focused. It prepares students for exams and higher studies, but for real-world skills, students need to do extra courses and self-practice. The exams are conducted every semester along with internal tests and are moderate in difficulty level. If a student studies regularly, the exams are not very difficult to clear. The curriculum should be updated more frequently and more practical, project-based and industry-related topics should be added.
