Remarks

Very good atmosphere to study if you want to study. The teachers are very supportive and they will definitely help you if we have any doubts. We can approch them with any of our problem. Enjoy the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

Course was really good. The syllabus was well designed to the future generation. Some major topics that undergoes research was also included in the syllabus and the exam structure is well designed to test our ability

Placement Experience

There is a placement cell in this college. It is very effective. It is headed by a professor and some students. Cell have contact with lot of companies and former students. Lots of job opportunities are there if we are eligible

College Events

This is a college Of celebrations. Holi, onam, eid, christmas. We celebrated every festivals. It was a relaxation time for all the students from the pressure of assignments projects seminars exams etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This is a government funded college. So very feasible. The fee is around 50k for merit students and 80k for the students in Management seat. It is not expensive as compared to other engineering colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are lot of scholarships for students studying here. I got a scholarship of thirty thousand for 2 years. It was very helpful for me. The college will help you to avail all the scholorships. No worries.

Campus Life

There is a large ground infront of the college. We can play there even after class. We have a community hall. All the extra curricular activities except tech fest and arts (separate stage) is conducted here. The lab facilities and assistants in college is very very good.

Alumni/Alumna

The college have a strong alumni network. The college is in contact with all the previous students studied here. They help the new students to link up with the companies where they are working. They are vere supportive

Admission

I attended kerala engineering entrance exam. I got a descent rank for the kerala engineering entrance examination. Then i made priority list of courses and colleges that i am looking for. CE poonjar was one of them. And luckily i got admission here

Faculty

Very helpful. The faculty is the main attaction of this college. When i selected this college,i knew the college is not so big. So i calculated that everyone will get personal attention. The teachers really helped us

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
