Course Curriculum Overview

4

Overall, I would rate the course curriculum 7.5/10 in terms of relevance, practicality, and comprehensiveness. The program has strong points in hands-on filmmaking and creative exposure, but certain areas still need improvement. The promise of short-film assignments, documentary-making, and studio-based sessions was a big reason for choosing this course. They provide practical classes for subjects like cinematography, film making and direction etc so it help in real life when going to work in industry. Less wastage of time during teaching hours and fests so that syllabus can complete in time will be area of improvement Just after completing syllabus exam dates come closer and difficulty level was moderate.

Internships Opportunities

5

Yashraj films offered assistant director position under internship with stipend of 1250 per day Recent project - mardaani 3 Where students experienced real life industry experience and worked their best with industry experts and also got paid.

Placement Experience

4

After 2nd year(4th semester ) students gets internship so that they get industry experience Yashraj visited and offered position for assistant director Highest package - n/a project based around 1.5 lac per project Only passionate and hardworking students gets placement in percentage should be 30-40% I will go to Mumbai after degree for work

College - galgotia university Course - B.Sc Cinema First year fee - 185000 Whole fee - 560000 Annual examination fee- 20000 Registration fee - 1200 Lab fee not applicable Development fee included in course fees Scholarships available for students.

Campus Life

4

Many festivals were celebrated annually like freshers party, holi , diwali on their respective month. Gu has library where variety of books available almost every book is available Apple Mac mini available for editing and technical support. Extracurricular activities includes - film direction, photography assignment, editing etc and will be rewarded who got 1st position.

Admission

Before joining Galgotias University (B.Sc. Cinema), I applied to a few other colleges that offered film, media, or mass communication programs. These included: 1. AAFT Marhwa studios 2. Gkfti (gulshan kumar film and television institute) 3. ravi sarin film institute Colleges From Which I Got Confirmed Admission I received confirmed admission from: AAFT and gkfti Both offered good programs, but the fees were higher and the infrastructure felt comparatively limited. Why I Chose Galgotias Over the Others Better campus & facilities Galgotias had a superior campus environment with better studios, labs, equipment, and a creative atmosphere. More affordable fees ?5.6 lakh for B.Sc. Cinema, the fees were more reasonable compared to the other colleges I applied to. The curriculum covers everything from filmmaking, editing, and cinematography to theory & aesthetics. Placement support & internship opportunities Galgotias has a relatively more structured support system for internships in media and production houses. Since the university is located close to Delhi NCR, it offers better access to film, media, theatre & production opportunities. Admission process is simple just fill registration form and submit no entry exams conducted for my course.

Faculty

4

Faculty members are easily approachable. Many teachers encourage students to discuss scripts, film ideas, and portfolio work after class. Raman Sir motivates in acting and teaches wonderful acting methods so I like it. Gaurav nath teaches editing vfx but doesn't do his work properly like teach for 20 mins and waste remaining time so I don't like it. 2 exams in 1 semester both are moderate in difficulty and generally half of the class were able to pass.

Night Life

3

In night after 8 pm going out of campus is not allowed as hostel are situated inside campus and around gu there is no specific hangout spots but students can go on a drive and tea spots so overall night life is boring in gu.

Placement Experience:

Lucknow University does not have very strong campus placements for B.Sc students, as most companies prefer professional or technical courses like B.Tech or MBA. However, a few job fairs and placement drives are organized where companies from education, sales, and basic research roles visit. The placement opportunities usually start after the 5th semester. The average package offered is quite low compared to other professional colleges, and only a small percentage of students get placed through campus. Most B.Sc students prefer to go for higher studies like M.Sc, B.Ed or prepare for competitive exams such as SSC, Bank, UPSC, State PCS, etc.
