What Students Say
Likes
- Being an introvert, I found peace in the quiet corners of campus where I could read, reflect, or simply observe life moving around me.
- Some faculty members inspired me- not because they taught from textbooks, but because they encouraged curiousity.
- The library, though often underused, gave me a sense of possibilities.
Dislikes
- Marks mattered more than understanding, and speed was praised more than depth. it felt like society's expectations had more weight than a student's inner growth.
- the system did't always respect different personality type.sometimes I wished there were more teachers who cared about a student's mind, not just their attendance.
- Lastly, As a technical collage they should have allowed use of electronic devices, but sadly they hated when someone used earphones or something like that
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Btech i CS because I have always been fascinated by systems, how things connect, how information flows, and how by controlling one part of a system affects other parts. and about how well it prepares me for real-world applications, short answer is, it does not. you learn the important topics, you understand terminology, and you learn all these theoretical concepts, after that you give your exam. Most of the focus is on memorizing definitions, solving predictable problems, and clearing exams, Labs feel like a formality, and rarely reflect real life coding or system design scenarios. Frequency of exams(per semester): 3 sessional test 1 semester exam 1 practical exam they are theory based exams, even the prcatical subjects feel like theort in disguise. Exams are not very difficult if you have memorized enough, Timing is often tight, it feels like you are learning only to pass not to grow.
Fees and Financial Aid

Campus Life
To be very honest, our college doesn't host regular annual or technical festivals like other big colleges. we do celebrate national holidays with sincerity, like Independence Day or Engineers' Day. These events are simple but still give a sense of community. Sports:1. Cricket Matches 2. Volleyball and football 3. my personal favorite- Badmintom Library: 1. Contains main textbooks for each semester. 2. Reference books 3. newspapers that is all, Bare minimum. Classroom: Classrooms are mostly Traditional- Greenboards, sometimes projector, fans and benches. Not much technology. No Wifi Most teaching is chalk and talk

Before joining Azad, I had applied to a few other colleges too. Some of the names include: 1. Integral University, Lucknow 2. Babu Banarasi Das University(BBD), Lucknow 3. Other Aktu affiliated colleges I got confirmation from a few, including Integral and BBD. But i finally chose Azad because: It was affordable it had a decent reputation my home was near to the college. I did face rejections. i had also aimed for some higher-tier private institutions and even hoped for goverment colleges 1. Lack of prepration for entrance exams. 2. Faculty
Faculty-to-student Ration: 6:100 Not all teachers are equally approachable or inversted. That said, a few of them genuinly stand out, their teaching + how they connect with us student's. Faculties I Liked and Why: 1. Amreen Ma'am: She teaches us Software Engineering(current semester). I liked how she explained concepts- it felt like she was having a conversation, not delivering a lecture. For someone like me who likes to understand things from inside out, that just made a huge difference. 2. Madhu Ma'am: she teaches us Computer Network, she is strict but in a good way. All i can say is that she teaches us well. 3. Samad sir: I respect how deep his knowlwedge is, she teaches us compiler design. All other 3 teachers i dont really like them it feels like they are just doing their job. About exams: Our course is divided into 8 semester, 2 sem each year, Each semester: 3 sessional tests 1 semester exam 1 practical exam
