Course Curriculum Overview
The course is excellent. Feedback is monitored and some of the teachers have over thirty years in experience. Management is approachable and we have a lot of extra curriculars as well. The teaching is engaging and frequent and well taught by many faculty memebers.
Internships Opportunities
I came to India for my education. This college was highly recommended, alongside Ramaiah and SRM, Chennai. Rotations between various departments under supervision for a year. It was good. Attended medical conferences as well. Played inter-college sports. Made memories and friends.
Placement Experience
Internship is offered in the affiliated hospital next door and there are continous CMEs and Conferences going on for betterment of skills. Most students are placed. My seniors are in the USA, in good residency programs. All is good.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees depends on whether you are an N.R.I or not. Fees is a little higher for N.R.Is but thanks to the strong dollar value over rupee, any course in India is cheap by comparrison. My batchmates who are locals, pay much lower fees and there are merit cum needs scholarships available with the University.
Campus Life
There are student driven, annual activities. A wide variety of sports are played. Extra curriculars and co curriculars are offered. A good ecosystem for overall development. Reseach opportunities and Conferences are encouraged. Libraries have good books.
Admission
I applied to this college because of other N.R.Is in the US, recommending it. There are very few Indian colleges that are recommended in the States and this is one. I wanted to apply to Ramaiah as well, another recommended college, but since I do not speak the language there, this college felt better. No complaints. The application process is straightforward.
Faculty
Teacher-student ratio is good. They are helpful and approachable. Anatomy and Biochemistry and SPM have very good staff. Exams are strictly conducted and are severely focused on clinical skills and not just textbooks. Course is up to date. Academic pressure is constant and rigorous.
Night Life
Locality is safe because it is in the centre of two cities, and there are always people around. It is lively and most places in and around are open 24/7. The campus has everything so you need not search for stuff.
