MNIT is among the best NITs of Northern India further it possesses a highly strong mechanical in civil departments which is regarded to be the strongest one after IIT Roorkee in Northern India to be admitted into MNIT you need to clear JEE Mains examination with a minimum 97% tile for the general category further than you need to apply for JOSAA and C-SAB consuelling to admit into MNIT. I have also taken admission in NIT Allahabad mechanical engineering but I wasn't able to get it since that closed 1000 above my rank, it is mentioned that they have a very good mechanical department as well. I applied for this based on nirf rankings and actually I was wishing to get this college, I was trying for nit Rourkela, nit Trichy but because of my ranking i wasn't able to get a seat in those colleges and as in my choice filling after those 2 colleges , I had filled mnit Jaipur as 3rd preference and my rank was good enough to secure a seat in this college Admission process is to write jee barch exam and apply for josaa counselling by filling your choices and wait for rounds to get your seat , once you get any seat in choices you'll be allowed to accept that seat or freeze that seat and move to next round for better college in your choices...Read More

I priortized mnit because of its campus and nirf ranking and zine club which is a robotics group and i liked it too much . Some colleges are also there like nit kkr and some south nit which i do not liked because of some reasons like convenience to travel and other things....Read More

I had not applied for any other college. But I had choosed some other colleges like NIT allahabad, NIT Delhi and NIT kurukshetra in my jee council. But I got this college. And I think I got the best among them all. Eligibility critera was minimum 70% marks in 12th exams. Also, around 95 percentile in jee mains(for general) and 90 percentile around for sc/st. I am not aware of obc. However, this criteria change every year depending upon competition. Cut off was not given on marks, it was all about percentile, marks were out of 360. The people from outside were required to give some other exam. I don't have adequate knowledge of their procedure like what exam and cutoff....Read More
