Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum feels a little outdated as per industry but then again, even the top institutes like the IITs also follow a similar curriculum. The labs though, are well equipped with all the necessary machines and equipments and the lab courses are interesting and give us a glimpse of working in the industry as well

Internships Opportunities

4

The college provides great internship opportunities, but you can get internships from summer break of second year onwards. Many of the students from core branches do their internships from core companies like many vehicle manufacturing units, designing units and also from government companies

Placement Experience

4

The placement stats of the college are definitely above average. Last year's highest package was 63L and it was bagged by a computer science engineer student. Mechanical engineering had the highest placement percentage with almost 92% of the students appearing for placements, secured a job

Fees and Financial Aid

During admission you have to pay a one time fees of 16600 Tution fees: 62500 for general category students For obc and ews, 2/3rd of fees is waived off, so they have to pay around 20800 rupees For sc/st students, 100% of the fees is waived off A lot of scholarships are provided to students from categories and also to female students, but very less for general male students

Campus Life

5

The campus life is amazing. You can keep yourself very busy if you want to. We have a major three day long fest every semester. We have active clubs catering to different interests of the students and these clubs conduct a lot of events, competitions and workshops regularly

Hostel Facilities

3

There are two kinds of hostels, the new ones, which are nice and clean with spacious rooms and good washrooms, and the old ones which have cramped up rooms and disfunctional washrooms. There are two kinds of messes as well, the government ones, where the food is delicious and of good quality. And the private ones, where a contract is given to private caterers and they end up doing corruption and give us bad quality food with worse taste

Admission

My first priority was to get mechanical engineering in NITK Suratkal, but i couldn't get a seat there as i didn't clear it's cutoff. My reason for choosing MNIT next was that it was in an urban area and that too in the middle of jaipur city. Plus, the infrastructure in the campus is pretty good too

Faculty

4

The faculty is very much qualified with all of them having done their masters and PhD from reputed institutes all around the country and world. Faculty is pretty approachable and are willing to help you out whenever required. There are two exams every semester, mid terms and end terms The marking scheme is 20-30-50, where 20 marks are for internal assessment, 30 for mid terms and 50 for end terms

Interview Experience

3

No. I did not face any group discussion or interview. To get into this college, I had to write an entrance exam, the jee mains. I got allotted this seat through csab counseling based on my jee mains rank in 2024

Night Life

3

The campus in timings for everyone is 10 pm, after 10 pm nobody can leave the campus. Girls have a hostel in time of 10 pm, wherein they cannot leave their hostels after 10 pm. There are night canteens, one for boys and one for girls which are open till 1-2am. The nightlife is not that active. Majority of the students hangout in the college canteen or the prem milan chauraha (PMC)

Placements in my collage are not very strong. A few companies visit, but the number is limited and the offer are also not very high . The average package is on the lower side and only a small number of students get placed through the campus. After completing my degree my plans is to continue improving my technical skills and apply for jobs outside the campus where the chances and salary packages are better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year 2014 & 2015, there was a huge scope for people in Computer Science Engineering. There were unlimted number of possibilities for a B.tech graduate at that time. This is why, I chose B.tech Computer Science course. The curriculum will help you to deal with the exams. If you are giving graduate level exams, you will be well guided for it by the faculty. There are no smart classes or good practicals examiner which we call lab technicians which causes everyone a havoc in the labs area. The midterms are the first monthly based exams that you'll need to give in order to pass your academics. After that, Practicals and then written exams.

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.
