What Students Say

Likes

Some faculty are pretty good and teaches in the way we understand
Friends are pretty good all are similar kind interms of mindset and other activities
Fests and extracurricular activities: there are events and activities in good period of the college in terms of sports there seperate courts for each sports

Dislikes

Some facultys are pretty bad interms of their experience and teachings
Parking : the student parking is very worst for good bikes and once it rains it becomes flooded
There is an oversized put that smells alot

Course Curriculum Overview

This doesn't involve Cambridge college, even though it is autonomous only some subjects can be changed.The syllabus that the students study is the syllabus prepared by vtu.Interms of course curriculum it's fine but the curriculum is old and doesn't match the new trend of the course.The could lead to not matching the industry standards.

Placement Experience

The placements in the college is fine. The highest package offered was 53 lpa which is great. And about average package(which most of them would get ) it's 7 lpa this could be common for CSE, ISE, AI( common or an very similar package) this is great interms of an fresher joining an company.

Fees and Financial Aid

It varies depending upon the exam and the state students come from generally, the management fees is around 6 lakhs per year since it's autonomous college. But if we take admission through exams. The fee structure completely differes. About scholarship there are multiple scholarship which college refers to apply for those who are eligible.

Campus Life

The campus life and other aspect of the college is really good, it offers fest sports and other things in college inself Apart from that there are other places to chill out like cafe coffee day, levista, lassi shop and five star chicken etc.

Admission

It's was very simple, I was trying to other colleges through kcet but since I couldn't get any nearby college. I opted for the best college nearby. By selecting some nearby college I was testing it out by speaking to the seniors of other colleges since I got to know that Cambridge college was good among the other nearby college I was admitted here

Faculty

The faculty- to- student ratio is good there are 2 faculties for every 10 students. The faculty is friendly and kind but interms of knowledge some teacher lack very much and doesn't even know the basics of some subjects.but interms of English they are fluent and doesn't use other languages for anything else. Overall, good interms of faculty but some are annoying.

Night Life

There are cafeterias, gym , library, hostel and everything inside the college. The funny part is the gym is free but other outside college there is nothing much and since it's in an remote area travelling to the city takes time. The nearest city of the college is ayappa nagar which 2- 3 kms from the college.

Placement Experience:

Amazon, Deloitte, Oracle and many tech companies like them are in agreement with our college for placements. Our college has a great placements opportunities as even after so many CSE students, 70% students every year gets placed with packages as high as 30 lakhs even.

a good college with good atmosphere and placements

Placement Experience:

students can be eligible for placements from 3rd year only, many companies have visited the college like TATA,Accenture and many other.The highest package for this year is about 19 lakhs , average package is about 3 lakhs,talking about the percentage our college has 77% of the college placements, i am planning to pursue higher education after my graduation

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

Placement Experience:

We enter the placement at the end of 3rd year almost at 4th year(6th to 7th semester). The placement cell organizes various traning program, including mock interviews, group discussions, and communication skills workshops. Past 3 to 4 years more than 10 companies per year offered hiring 100+ students. But over the year the companies have come down and providing les opportunities. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, etc recruite students from this college. The highest package is 25LPA and the average package is around 6LPA. Due to the increase in the rate of admission, the percentage has been decresed. Almost 25 out of 100 students are getting placed in this college. After getting degree, I will try my level best to get placed in campus itself. If not, I am interested more in Competitive exams, I will focus on it.

The Pros and Cons of being a student at MIT Manipal

Placement Experience:

From the7th sem onwards campus placements are put in place for btech students. Many companies such as microsoft, google, BMW, mercedes, accenture and others look for students here. The top 100 of each branch get the highest packages with the average of that being 22lpa for the cce branch. The rest of the students that are placed have an average salary of 14 lpa. Almost all the students are placed with the placement rate being around 90% for my branch. I plan on working for 2 years after getting placed and then pursuing an MBa degree abroad to further my tenure as a valuable asset to whatever company takes me under their wing.

IIT Dharwad Pros and Cons

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in college . Highest package was 52 lpa in 2024 and average was 9-10 lpa. But the percentage was very less in 2024 because of recession and negligence of placement cell and their bad decisions.
