IIT ISM Dhanbad

IIT ISM Dhanbad is the most famous college in India for Mining and earth sciences courses. It has a well furnished campus with lush green trees and a well oxygenated environment and clean roads with dustbins installed at every short distance.

Course curriculum is quite a well maintained one. The syllabus is clear and the faculty is aware. The exam structure is mainly subjective type and covers all the topics. It tests the all round preparation of a student.

The college has a well maintained history of alumini placed in well renowed companies and firms. The college, being well reputed, provides an excellent platform in terms of placement and internships.

The college celebrates number of annual events and fests including branch fests, cultural fests, technological and management fests and many more. Examples are Basant, Concetto, Srijan, AAPG, Vibhav, Khanan and many more.

The fee structure is feasible and affordable, being a government college it is not much. For those who come from economically backward class or families, and have less monthly family income, the college provides a number of scharships.

Many scholarships are given by our college to the poor or the economically backward class. Students are divided into groups as per their monthly family income and provided with scholarships accordingly.

Worth mentioning, the extracurricular activities like labs, sports, clubs like music, dance, drama are all engaging and refreshing. They provide an excellent way to relieve from the academic stress and also recreation.

The hostels are well furnished, regularly and properly cleaned, facilitated with clean water and are a good place to reside in. The hostel staff and guards provide a clean and secure environment to all the students.

Commendable senior junior relationship, they are always there for juniors' help. All the queries and problems of the juniors are solved by the seniors. They maintain a good relationship and have juniors have respect for the seniors.

I got admission into the college by clearing the entrance exam JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED. Then I took part in the all India counselling conducted by JoSAA and was alloted the college in the seventh round.

The college is furnished by well educated and qualified professors having diverse knowledge in their respective fields. They are not only good teachers but also good counsellors. They are everyone's ideals.
