My Review on Cooch Behar Polytechnic

The curriculum is good with strong core subjects and practical labs. It prepares us for job and higher studies. Adding more industry relevent topics would make it even better.Exam timings are fair, but a more consistent difficulty level.

We visited in Siliguri NJP Railway office for a 15 day internship, where we observe railway operations and learned about administrative tasks, safety protocols, and coordination systems.Overall its a very good experience for us.

Campus placements starts from the 5th semester. Some reputated companies like MRF Ltd. , GE Aerospace, Jaya Hind Industries , Hindaldo , Daikan visit but offers are limited. Average package is around. 2-2.5 lpa. I plan to pursue higher studies or apply for gov jobs.

We pay 850 rs per year as admission fees. And after that we pay 250 to 300 rs as semester fees , two times a year. There is no lab fees in our college. Our college approves scolarships like SVMCM & OASIS. Our college has the 2nd Biggest College campus in the North Bengal.

Campus life at COBP is decent. We have annual fests like Freshers welcome, Cultural program. The library is well stocked, and class rooms are tech enabaled. All rooms have personal projectors and TVs.

I choose Cooch Behar Polytechnic fort its strong faculty, good lab faculties, and reputation. I also got a chance at APC Roy Polytechic but its in Jadavpur, a very long distance from our hometown coochbehar. Admission was through JEXPO & VOCLET ( 2nd Year Lateral Entry ).

In our Electrical Dept. there are 4 faculties & HOD for 60 students. They are very frieldly & helpfull to us. My personal favourite sir is Bibudh Mitra Sir ( Incharge in Electronics lab ). We have two semesters per years and before every semester there is two internals.

Nightlife around Cooch Behar Polytrechnic is quite. The area is safe but not very active at night. Hostel gates close by 9 PM. Students mostly relax in hostels or nearby tea stalls after classes. Students also hang out near the main gate and nearby foodstalls in the evening.
