Course Curriculum Overview
The aspects of the curriculum that i liked are exam structure, it is quite good here, then the thing that influenced me to take this course is the computer science, which is actually the most popular course to purse. The curriculum prepares me well for the industries, like it meets the industry expectaions. The improvement that I would like to have is implementing things like digital in all things, like the exams and others.
Internships Opportunities
There is a wide range of companies that offer internships with a stipend and that can be get to known well when contacting the placement cell of VIT Chennai. I can say that companies do give internship opportunities to students from this college.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, students are eligible for the placements, The companies that visited the campus were TCS, Wipro, Coginzant and other popular service and product based companies, the average package would be 10LPA as far as I know from the website and others.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees would be based on the category in which the candidate is selected during the counselling based on the VITEEE ranks, the fee i'm paying for category is 2lakhs, there will be no reservation or relaxation based on categories the candidate may belong, the admission fee and caution deposit would be around like 25k, the fee of my batchmates are like 1lakh, 1.5lakh and 2lakhs. There may be scholarships provided for top performers in the entrance exam, but I'm unaware of it.
Campus Life
There will be an annual cultural fest and an annual technical fest, the cultural fest is called the "Vibrance" and the techical fest is called the "TechnoVIT", the fests here are so much better than the fest in other colleges.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fee is based on the choice of the room, the most easily gettable room would cost like 2lakhs a year including the mess charges. there are also local pgs and other stay locations outsite the campus
Admission
The other colleges i applied were Shiv Nadar University, SRM University and Amrita University. I chose this college over the others becuase I thought this is a better choice than the others, this college seems to satisfy my needs and is also a reputed University
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is like 1:125 for each courses, the faculties are easily approachable by visiting their cabins. The names of the faculty that I liked is Shiwangi, she was teaching spanish in the first semester. there are also some faculties that i don't like because of their way of teaching. The exams are quite managable if the student had prepared something in between, it's hard to complete it all at the end. the Final Assessment Test is a bit too hard to study.
Night Life
There are gyms of different types like the normal one is present in hostels and is free, and there is also a paid ac one, then the hostel timing is like the gate closes at 9pm at night, and will be opened early in the morning. There is a lot of hangout places around the campus.
