Interview Experience

My Admission Journey: GD, Interview, and Written Test Experience Introduction The path to admission in a reputed institution is often marked by a series of evaluations, each designed to assess different facets of a candidate’s aptitude, attitude, and potential. My admission journey was no different. It involved a comprehensive selection process that included a Written Test, a Group Discussion (GD), and a Personal Interview. Each round presented its own challenges, demanded its own preparation strategies, and offered distinct opportunities to shine. In this write-up, I’ll share my experience with each stage of the process, covering the test patterns, topics discussed, evaluation criteria, and most importantly, how I prepared for each stage. Whether you're a future aspirant or just curious about how such admission processes work, I hope this detailed account helps provide clarity and insight. The Admission Process Overview The admission process was divided into the following stages: Online Application and Eligibility Screening Written Aptitude Test Group Discussion (GD) Personal Interview (PI) Final Merit List and Admission Offer Each of these stages had specific objectives: The Written Test assessed academic knowledge, logical reasoning, data interpretation, and language skills. The GD was aimed at evaluating communication, leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities. The Interview was more personal and was used to gauge motivation, self-awareness, academic and career goals, and fit for the program. Now, let's dive into each one in detail. 1. Written Test Experience Pattern and Format The Written Test was the first hurdle. It was conducted online and lasted for 90 minutes, comprising four main sections: Quantitative Aptitude (QA) – 25 questions Logical Reasoning (LR) – 20 questions Data Interpretation (DI) – 15 questions Verbal Ability (VA) – 20 questions The total number of questions was 80, and there was negative marking of 0.25 for each
