My experience at SKIT College

I have interest in coding and Technologies so i choose Computer Science and Engineering branch. I want to become software engineer so i choose CS Branch. Some subjects are good but some are not relevant at all but you have to study and pass that papers. Areas for improvement are teachers have to provide practical knowledge to students and provide them real world examples snd scope of the course the roles they can apply for. In every year there are 2 semesters and the timing of every semester is 6 months . Difficulty level is Moderate.

Students become eligible for placements from 6th semester 3rd year. The companies visited in my college are watchguard,Juspay,Celebal and they only recruit around 15-20 students from one batch. Highest package offered was 10 lakh per annum and average package was 3 lakh per annum. Around 50 % Students placed from on campus and off campus both. My plans after getting degree is to software Engineer.

The year wise fee I'm paying is 1.2 lakh something. Tuition fee is 1 lakh per annum and caution fees is 5000 apart from this there is main exam fee every semester which can vary from 2200 to 3200.For management students there is donation of 5 lakh per student for Computer Science branch. My batchmates fee vary if they are from management category or by reap, The fee of reap students is 4 lakh per year tuition fee and hostel fee is separate. And management fee is 5 lakh apart from tuition fee. Pragati scholarship is provided to first year girl student whose parents income is less than 8 lpa. The scholarship is around 50000 per year.

The annual fest is pravah, which happens once a year in the month of February. Technical fest is Smart india hackathon which happens once a year. All the books are present in the library regarding semester exams and competitive exams. There is no as such facilities are provided in classrooms only a board and in some classrooms there is smart board. Many sports are present in college like football,volleyball, Badminton, Basketball. S&T club for technical things and there is also singing and dancing clubs present.

I choose this college because this college us ranked no 1 in rajasthan for technical education. This is nirf ranked and RTU affiliated college but this college is become Autonomous. No i only applied for this college so I do not get any rejections from other colleges. Admission process is In jee you need to score more than 94 percentile to secured a Computer Science branch,there is also a management quota in that 5 lakh is given to college apart from college fees to get desired branch. Jee is mainly accepted by college for Admissions.But Autonomous college take test for Admission.

Faculty members are Ok,Some are very good and some are so bad. You can approach the faculties in their cabin. Nidhi mam is very good she helped me when im in first year there is so much problem when you live alone she helped me in my studies and being a very good teacher. Vijay sir is so rude teacher he demotivates every student in his class, he is always in rude and bad mood. There are 2 mid term theory paper and 2 internal practical and 1 end sem for theory and 1 external practical, The exams are moderate Around 15-20 students fail in every class of 62 students. Course curriculum is just average.

There is no group discussion only personal interaction or personal introduction. The admission process is from reap and now a days the college became Autonomous so the college takes the test and make a cutoff list. I have taken admission by reap do i have prepared for JEE.

There is no night life for girls because the hostel timing is 7pm for girls and 9 pm for boys. Gym opens at 8 pm and closes at 6 pm.cafeterias timing are 8 am to 2:45 pm and library timing is 8 am to 7 pm. Hostel timing are 6 am to 7 pm for girls and for boys 6 am to 9 pm in summer. Only brunch house and civil block is there for hangout in campus which is also not so great. Locality is safe for around 10 pm afer that all the shops are closed.
