Course Curriculum Overview
Since I was a neet aspirant, and my strong point was zoology I had to choose this course. I love to learn more about animals and their physiologies. I personally aspire to become a professor in the same field and hence this course will enhance my ability of teaching. This college also works with some government schools with a program called PRAYAS, which allows us to teach the government schools students of 9th and 10th in all the subjects, (physics chemistry biology maths social studies english hindi etc) , which in return shape our teaching skills and understanding of the subjects. Through this course you can also become a researcher and work with the top ISRO and other organisations or could become a forest officer or zoo ambassador, if you're more inclined towards animals. The areas of improvement can be , the salary of the professors. Since even after studying so hard and becoming and assistant professor, your salary would lie somewhere between 40-50000 . In this era professors are not given the right salary they deserve for imparting knowledge and enlightenment to students. The exams are not much difficult and the first semester ends in January and second semester ends in May.
Internships Opportunities
We've not been offered any company internships with stipend yet since we're in semester 2 , but our college do offer this to semester 3rd and above. We'll be getting these internships and placement offers next year, also as per my senior interactions, I got to know that you can even do your internship at Patna zoo if you want to be in some forest service.
Placement Experience
When it comes to placement, from 6th sem only, college starts providing the placement opportunites to the students. Based on the company criteria, you can apply for this. Every year, companies like Amazon, Ola, Byjus, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, bjaj and many more come in the campus to hire the students and provide various job roles to them. Every year the highest placement can get to 14 LPA to 25 LPA. And average placement lies between 4 -5 LPA. Approx 70% students gets placed from every batch.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college ambience is really good. There are certain strict rules and regulations, but it's for our own development. The teachers are quite skilled and qualified and college organises various fests and competitions regularly to enhance your talent and experience. The placement cell is good, (can be better), and the college also provides you scholarship according to your grades and economic stability. The labs are also very good.
Campus Life
When I was in the first year and new to the college, everything seems exciting. At first, college hosts an induction ceremony of 3 weeks in which we are taught how to prepare ourself for the future. After this, approx every 2 month, every club of the college host some event or competition. Campus have 1 tech club, 1 NSS club and 1 self development club and various sports have there different clubs. All the sports get the chance to participate in inter college competiton. Coming to the study part, college has a library which holds thousands of books for every subject. Either academic or self growth, you will get a book for everything. College will give you a library card, which will help you to lend book from the library.
Admission
I had applied to DU, other than that I didn't apply into any other colleges because I was awaiting for my neet results.. My college organises it's own eligibility exam called PCUET, which takes place in around May, if the candidate get's 70 above grades in that exam they can get their preferred course. The admission procedure is really easy. You'll be assigned a date of exam and after getting the results there will be an admission date assigned to you when you take your results printout along with the admission form along with your photograph and submit it to the office, then the sister principal meets and greets you, tells you more about the college and approves your admission. Later you can go to purchase your college uniform (which is ment to be worn twice a week only) . This is provided in the college premises only. Later to that you'll be assigned a date of your orientation where you'll be informed all about our college facilities, placement offers, clubs and college motto and anthem.
Faculty
The exam pattern is really easy There are 2 semesters Odd and Even. per semester, there are 2 parts- mid semester exams and end semester exams mid semester is of 15 marks, and end semester is of 40 marks they also organise practical exams of 30 marks. they have 5 courses , Major MJC Minor MIC Multidisciplinary MDC Add on course AOC and Value added course VAC. the exam is not quite difficult, it's upto the mark. The faculty is really interactive with the teachers and provides PDFs after completing their syllabus. They upload it on the college student dashboard called LMS. The faculty I like the most in my department is Rajeev Ranjan sir, because he teaches really well making every concept crystal clear. I like majorly all of them just few new faculty members like Aishwarya ma'am, since she's the newest member of the department, she needs some more experience of teaching then it'll be better a bit for us. but overall she's sweet..
Night Life
The college ambience and beauty is enough to provide you a peaceful and nature loving environment for hanging out, outside the college you can go to nearby Burger King or other Cafes and restaurants. The college has gym and library , or cafeteria facilities inside where they provide you good and affordable food. You could even visit the Patna museum if you're interested into old facts and histories. It is really close to the college. You can also visit the planetarium if you're interested into astrospace and stars. The place is really safe even at night since the college is located on the main route and the kotwali police station is also nearby to the college. It provides enough safety to the students, but the college hostel do not permit you to move out after 6pm. And you need an application from sister with the proper reason why you need to move out, only then you'll get an approval and be allowed to go outside.
