Likes

I really like the old age vibe of my college it's feels you're time traveling in to the 90's college
I really appreciate J.R sir because of his helping nature college felt less stressful
I like our play ground for cricket and also we a little canteen that i was appreciate

Dislikes

No political involvement i thought i was good at first but after realising because of this we don't have any strong community that will stand for junior or who need help
Lack of equipment in our lab either i was in physic lab or chemistry or computer we don't even have an Air conditions
Lack of classes except few no lectures attend any classes

Course Curriculum Overview

There weere not very Course curriculum but few computer lab classes and other lab classes but i liked that art class all were teaching outdated syllabus not a single class that will make us future proof we used to teach microprocessor 8085 that was stopped use after 2000

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 800 per year

Internships Opportunities

In my stream we only have one internship options in solaris stipend around 8000 rupee per month most of them never attend cause we need to pay first for that internship so i don't know about which project they were selecting

Placement Experience

Bad placement in single word most of the company didn't even came to our college few company came with little packages like 1.5 lakh 1.2 lakh annual highest package maybe 2.75 lakh 30 to 40 percent students get placement and other started b tech or business or gov job preparation

Fees and Financial Aid

Well we need to pay per semester around 800 rupee at my knowledge i don't remember any scholarship program in our college per semester fee will increase but in marginal number so it doesn't really a problem for me

Campus Life

I don't really enjoy campus life due to covid 19 but in 1st sem i spend alot time with my friends we used to play cricket having a group song contest library is like a Doomshell few outdated books was available

Admission

Well at that time i don't have knowledge about anything not jexpo or wbjee so i cleared wbjee and got Burdhwan engeenering college but instead of i take jcgp cause i was near my home for join this college you need to clear jexpo exam after that cutoff and you'll get your preferable college that you choose depend on your rank

Faculty

faculty their are few some good some bad most of them are busy all the time so student don't get any help, JR sir was number 1 and arunava was the worst one for sure there was 6 semester and 18 small exams and lots of assignment most of them passed

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

We college have many companies like tata motors, cumming company, dana limites, spices limited, Ashok Leyland. Mahindra. L and t company and much more high package is 3.5 lakh per annum aur department students got 90 per cent placed. I have been placed in tata motors which gives me 3.2 lacs per annum. My plan is to do b tech at Jadavpur University.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

Crescent foundry and so many companies are visited our campus and offerd almost every students for job.the highest package is 1.80 lpa and lowest is 1.44 lpa. There re almost 60 percent students are placed and rests are getting prepare for next campusing.My plan is doing job after completing this degree.

My first preference was jcgp, as it was the college my relatives' sob is passed from. I heard the good things as it was the best diploma college for civil Engineering in west bengal. After my admission I didn't think so but it occurred to me after a while. The admission process was pretty simple. We had to appear for joint entrance exam and based on the marks we had to choose the college. But in dire situation of Covid, we got the chance to apply for the college just by showing our higher secondary result. As far as I know any student getting over 55% in higher secondary examination got accepted in diploma in civil engineering. Best College In The World

The admission in diploma colleges are done through a state based elegibilty test called JEXPO which is conducted by the government of West Bengal.Only after that a student can get admission in Diploma Colleges. After JEXPO I got the opportunity to get admission Jnan Chandra Ghosh Polytechnic College & Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy Polytechnic College. My reason to choose J.C.Ghosh College was that it is revered as the topmost polytechnic college in the state and as the college was closer to my home making it easier for me to travel to the college.
