The surroundings and nature are the only things of giet that are appropriate and other than that everything needs to be improved

Course Curriculum Overview

To be honest I choose this course because of it's future usability but I don't think giet can prepare us for the real world problems, because the teaching here are only exam based and very theoretical not practical.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't done any internship in the university itself, because they provide not so brilliant faculty and ask lots of unreasonable money for the summer internship, I don't think so this university will provide any projects to clarify the tasks

Placement Experience

From 6th semester students here become eligible for the campus placement Some of the companies visited are tech Mahindra, Accenture etc . The highest package maybe is 9,00000/- and the average package is 6lpa 90 percent student are getting placed here After the degree I'm going for higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

2,40,500 Collage fees and development fees:- 3000-6000 2,20,500 No financial aid for general student and all though they give financial aids to lower cast and reserved casts but extra charges are applied for various things

Campus Life

Experience with campus life is not so good in giet it is very poor and not the best for living as well as studying. The library is big but the resources are minimal. Only 1 annual fest is there which is shrujan and that too is boring.

Hostel Facilities

There are 2 floors in our hostel which consisted of 20 room each floor and in each room 4 students are residing so it's crowded and not good for study purposes. The quality as well as quantity of the meal is terrifying and bad. Registration process was easy

Admission

I didn't have the time to apply for other colleges so I joined giet as soon as possible but the admission process was hectic as well as I'm regretting taking addmission in this college every second . And I think it's the worst decision of my life

Faculty

Some faculties here are very righteous , strict and cordial while most of the faculties in giet are totally trash , very partial and not honest Some of the faculties I like are ms.barsha das , mr.radhanath patra etc

Night Life

For girls hostels are located outside the campus in the middle of deserted city and because of the corruption and robbery we are not allowed to go outside our not so big hostel which is frustrating , even day life is bad here let alone the night life

GIET University is one of the greatest in Odisa!!

Placement Experience:

First Source, Mindtree, Google and various names of IT which are dream jobs for anyone our university ensured that we atleast have a chance to get that. Ofcourse the requirements were less but our students with the skillset they had 80% of them had placements through campus including me.

Placement is good average package is 8-9 lpa and above 85% student is placed last year with good package and few get less bocz of some reason. I fully do not agree on average package bcoz the fee of 4 year is about 20 lakhs including hostel and mess and other all the things

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

An Honest Review of My college Experience

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies visited to our college like Tata,Wipro, TCS, Infosys and Accenture etc . Our highest package in computer science is 1200000 per annum and Average package is 500000 per annum. Percentage of students getting placement is actually varies by year and course and average 40 to 50% students get the placement offers . My plan is qualifying gate with a good rank and do my higher study mtech.

In KIIT there is a good placement in our 7th semester most company visit for recurite like Amazon, infosys,flipkart, deloite etc.And in KIIT highest package was 52LPA and average package around 7-8 lakhs ,and nearly 95% student placed and remaning student looking for higher studies .I plan to do after this course if i got decent package then i acept it otherwise im doing master in ai or data science . And after master im looking for better job in my dream company in top countrys like u.s and germany.

GIET UNIVERSITY - Best place to learn in southern odisha

According to money factor this college is great. Under such low fee college is great for providing course other than any college. I applied for SOA University and course fee is too high there. Also my college is a university. So there is no worry about anything. For admission in giet you have applied for OJEE odisha and contact a marketing officer or direct join in college. You have to pay 10-15 thousand rupees for advance fees. In admission day you have to pay hlaf of your fees in one year. You will get everything in that day. Rank doesn't matter here...Read More

I have not applied for any other colleges as I have left with no choice at the end for pursuing Btech and I have not scored good in JEE as I wasn't preparing for opting BTech.So for choosing private colleges in odisha I chose this because the place is remote and it is heard that the climate is very pleasant. The admission process starts at the month of May an amount of 20000 for seat reservation is taken which will be reduced from the final fees i.e. 2,39,000 when you come to the college admission that helds in the month of July inside the campus. The students and parents should come with the credentials required for the admission which are copies and originals of student's adhaar card, 10th and 12th marksheet, Migration certificate, Father's adhaar card .
