Hostel Facilities

5

1)GMC KOLHAPUR hostel facility is pretty good, considering that it was built recently. each room in boys hostel has accommodation capacity of 3 students and room is very well designed so as to provide appropriate space to each individual. In every room, each student of the room gets seperate study table along with chair, a bed, window, celling fan, tube light, electric board and a personal cupboard. 2)collage canteen provides almost all the type. Of fastfood at reasonably low price and good quality, and if anyone didn't like food at canteen they can join local mess which also provide good food at low cost. 3) registration for hostel is done with admission process and is simple process, hostel is very affordable which cost only 4,000/- per year. student lives in the hostel for about 4 years till the completion of MBBS. In intership there is different hostel You can rent room also if didn't liked hostel and locality is good in college campus

Admission

1)I had applied for all government medical Colleges in Maharashtra and in 1st round I got SRTR GMC,Beed but in 3 rd round of counselling I got this college,I liked this college and my parents also on same page so I confirm it.at first glance I liked weather and college campus. 2)I didn't get admission in top medical Colleges of Maharashtra as selection process was based on merit and I didn't got selected 3) admission is done according to merit, admission process is little lengthy but can be done in 1 day, selection is done according to NEET exam marks which is given by PCB group students after 12th. Cutoff for government college is higher than other private colleges which can be more than 580 marks in neet for open category. Admission process can be hectic if there are many students at a time but they give 6-7 days for admission thus there will be no problem for arranging all required documents.

Faculty

5

1) faculty to students ratio is good and each each department have 1 hod,2 assistant professor,2 associate professor,5-6 tutors,5-6 pg faculty. 2)till now I liked anatomy faculty as they are supportive and solve doubt also, and I liked anatomy subject personally other than that all departments faculty are pretty good ex. PSM,FMT,physiology , pharmacology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology 3)I liked all faculties as they are supportive and they try to understand our side of story of any problem is there and also don't irritate students. 4)there are 2 internal assessment,1 preliminary exam,1 University exam in each academic year.Exam are generally easy and students can easily pass exam if they have read the subject from books, attended lecture and have clinical knowledge Generally fail percentage is less than 1% New CBME curriculum is very good which is based more on clinical knowledge than theory

Night Life

4

1)Collage gym is not that good, it has outdated machineries also the weights like dumbells and plates are not enough.collage canteen is great, offers most of the fast food at affordable price.library is newly built in the collage campus is offers one of the best library experience.it has almost all the books that student reads during his MBBS journey. 5) any book can be issued or borrowed by a student from the library free of cost for a limited period of time. 2) Hostel timings are morning 6 am to night 10 pm 3)in college students hangout at canteen and outside campus there are many cafe for hangout, students go te Rankala lake in evening to hangout. College campus is safe day and night as 4-5 guards are on duty 24/7

Other Applied Colleges

Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Government Medical College - [BJMC] | Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

On basis of neet marks selection process is done and I couldn't get admission in this college according to merit.

Placement Experience:

They have great placement opportunities and even opportunities to go abroad for future studies and practice. They allow the students to explore such things but don't prepare and focus on a holistic development within the course years. They barely spend any money over co curricular activities and events.

Remarks:

Positive: The college's infrastructure is really good. Negative: Being a private medical college, a lot of money is charged and they even earn extra money by charging unnecessary numerous times, very expensive admission forms and other expenses. Faculty is okay, selected few are only good. It is placed in a town which isn't well developed (Ahmednagar) There could be more extra curricular events and less restrictions for students living in the hostel, but there aren't.
