Course Curriculum Overview

1

Curriculum is almost not relevant and useful in real world. We have to work on our own to gain real practical knowledge. We have to do this by personal meeting with professors and research scholars. Exams are totally unnecessary burden as they are very theorotical.

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester one and two has different fee strucutures in my college. tution fees are totally off for sc/st students. Hostel precaution fees are 10000 rupees which are refundable.rounding it off, approximately sem 1 has fees of 1,15,000 and 2nd sem has 1,00,000.

Campus Life

4

Overall social experience is good in my college. People are decent here. Talking about fests, there are 4. Cultural fest-In februaru(Blitzschlag). Techfest-Sphinx(Nov). Sports fest- MST (March). Youth fest in January. Books and journals available in library are of good level but are very old. There are ACs in classes along with charging ports etc making them very good. Coaches are present in sports complexes (without fees) and have decent expertise. Also clubs and groups run by students are the main soul of the college, as they are very consistent in practise and regurlarly win prizes in their fields

Admission

I chose this college because of its location, environment and accesibility. I also applied for some IITs but was not getting decent branches there. Other than IITs I got confirm admission in top NITs like NIT surathkal and Trichy but there are very dominant food problems for northies. And the admission process in my college is very simple and easy as it accepts students only through JEE-Mains result, and the admission process and cut-off (approx 96%ile for general) is maintaineed by JOSAA councelling.

Faculty

4

Almost all faculties are good here. They have excellent stream of knowledge and are very helful. Gunjan Soni sir, Nirja Ma'am, Manjinder Singh sir, Manju Singh Maam, Gulab Pamnami sir etc are some of the prominent teachers over there. There are two exams in one semster, mid-sem and end-sem exams. mid sem are of 30 marks per subject and end sem is of 50 marks per subject. Both exams are very easy to clear, also relative marking adds to the easyness of the exams.(Because students dont study) Curriculum is almost unrelated to real world scenario.

Night Life

5

Nightlife is very sober in my area. There night canteens, kirana shops etc in my college which serve basic dishes for hangout. But except night canteen all other facilities incl gym close at 10pm. Boys hostel has no restriction on exit at night, but girls cant exit after 10pm. Famous places near clg are baskin robbins parlour, saras parlour, Coffee jar etc

Placement Experience:

Placements in my collage are not very strong. A few companies visit, but the number is limited and the offer are also not very high . The average package is on the lower side and only a small number of students get placed through the campus. After completing my degree my plans is to continue improving my technical skills and apply for jobs outside the campus where the chances and salary packages are better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year 2014 & 2015, there was a huge scope for people in Computer Science Engineering. There were unlimted number of possibilities for a B.tech graduate at that time. This is why, I chose B.tech Computer Science course. The curriculum will help you to deal with the exams. If you are giving graduate level exams, you will be well guided for it by the faculty. There are no smart classes or good practicals examiner which we call lab technicians which causes everyone a havoc in the labs area. The midterms are the first monthly based exams that you'll need to give in order to pass your academics. After that, Practicals and then written exams.

Placement Experience:

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.
