College Fest :Pillais college of engineering have the best fest in the entire state
Campus life :in Pillais college of engineering the campus life offer full freedom and fun
Labs have ac... And well equipped equipments

Dislikes

No ac in most of the classrooms is one of the major turn off
There is a jungle area behind the campus... Which is scenic but i didn't liked it much
Campus is just above average in size... It's beautiful still most of the area is occupied by other departments

Course Curriculum Overview

Till second year we have to follow the subjects given by the college which is according to the industrial standards... From third year we start having options... The frequency is every 2 months... The curriculum is best in the State...

Internships Opportunities

Pillais college of engineering offers tcs, infosys, Capgemini etc in roles like software development and consulting... Most of them are paid , with hands on codeing , supply chains and uavs. The internship provide great industry exposure and skills

Placement Experience

From the third year you become eligible for campus placement... The main companies come here are reliance, jio, tata, flipkart etc... the highest package goes upto 40 lakhs per annum... The percentage of students placed here... Is most of the times 100 percent... And sometimes 95+%... My plans after getting the degree is to pursue for masters

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee is 115000, other by adding other fees like lab, university, maintenance fees... It will go upto 133000 My batchmates those who availed shahu Maharaj scholarship... Got 50% back from the tution fee.. Sc and st have to pay round off 5000 rs..

Campus Life

Alegria the festival of joy... Is our college fest... The best fest in our state... It's normally held in the month of February... The faculty here are well qualified some of them are IIT passout... And there are various student committees supported by the management

Hostel Facilities

The facilities provided here are unlimited wifi and other necessities... The meal quality is descent... The registration process is done within the college... If anyone wish for pg... There are many available in Panvel itself

Hostel Fee: INR 12200 per year

Admission

This Pillais college of engineering is Best among the entire state... So this is always the first choice of many... The admission process here can be in both general and management way... The cut offs for malayalees is very low here

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio in Pillais college of engineering is 1:15... The relationship is very friendly and comfortable with most of them... The best faculty here is Rubina ma'am... She is the most friendly professor who really cares about students... And the worst one is *jit sir... He mentally harras the students... Here we have 5 to 6 exams per sem... With enough preparation and faculty support one can easily crack all the exams

Night Life

The night life here is within the campus...we bring snacks and drinks from the cafes near by.... And enjoy during decoration times of the fest season in Pillais college of engineering ... Yes this college provide gym facilities... And the the famous hangout near are mainly cafes

The course curriculum is pretty outdated. I am in cybersecurity specialization and there are only 2 subjects(starting from 2nd year) related to cybersecurity.and those courses are good but the faculty teaching them arent that great. they just read out the ppts, which they dont even share.

Practical College Life with Real Opportunities for Self-Driven Students

Placements start from final year. Students become eligible in 7th sem. Training sessions begin earlier. Aptitude and coding practice provided. Mock interviews are also conducted. Preparation quality depends on effort. Many service based firms visit. Some product companies also come. Roles include developer and analyst. Support and testing roles common. Core jobs limited for some branches. Multiple offers for top performers. Average package is moderate level. Top packages go to few students. Around half students get placed. Others find off campus jobs. Internships improve placement chances. My plan is skill based job.

I don't know much about the placements but I heard that after third year onwards you get placement opportunities . The highest package is 12 lacks and the average package is between 3.5 to 4.5 lacks .

That aspect that made me choose this course that the it very oriented with the project based learning which prepare students for the industry level knowledge and ready for the job . It really prepare for the real world problem which are needed in the industry. Some improvements can also be added as the era is of AI the curriculum can be shaped based on the AI for future proof. The frequency of the exam is every 6 months it is very good to have exams every 6 months as students get to check their knowledge on timely basis the difficultly level is manageable.

Semester 7 is when the placement season starts, and sem 5 onwards you can appear for internship season. The highest package goes in crores but mostly in cse department, others not IT jobs have reletively lower packages avarage being 20 LPA. Almost 60 percent and above students get placed in my guess. I am planning to work in a chemical process design firm.
