Course Curriculum Overview

3

After MBBS, dentistry is the best option according to me if you want to become a doctor. Your handwork must be pretty good in order to become successful in this field so a lot of practice and patience is required.

Internships Opportunities

3

I am still in my first year so I don't really have much knowledge regarding this but I have seen interns working here and an internship of six months after the graduation is mandatory. You can stay in the hostel.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is increasing. If I talk about myself then I'm paying 2,00,000 INR yearly for college and 1,00,000 INT for hostel. Fees may differ according to your date of admission and NEET score and also hostel preferences.

Campus Life

4

We have so many extracurricular activities time to time like rangoli competition, poster making, carving, presentations. We also have our music, dance and drama clubs and sports groups as well. We celebrate Holi, Basant Panchami, Shivratri, Ramzan and other festivals here.

Hostel Facilities

3

There are multiple hostel buildings with different facilities. The hostel I chose has rooms along with attached washroom and balcony. Two people live in one room. We have a fixed menu for the mess repeated every week. Food quality is decent.

Admission

I did not apply to any other college. I visited DJ college of dental sciences and research. I liked the campus and the atmosphere and the patient flow was also decent so I applied for it. You need to qualify NEET in order to get admission in this college.

Faculty

2

Faculties are approachable but some of them are a bit rude. My personal favourites are General Anatomy and Biochemistry faculties for first year. There are 3 internal exams and then finally professional exams.

Night Life

3

Campus is pretty big so we can hangout easily and there are so many spots to relax with friends. Hostel timings are 8pm for freshers and we can roam around the campus until 10 and then we need to get into our respective hostels.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a neet aspirant only i decided i want to go for BDS and not MBBS for BDS is a more specialized course focusing only on the oral cavity and care. There are in total 9 branches under BDS and each branch in itself has huge scope in outer world. We start dealing with real patients from third year only so we have real experience of everything and by the time internship completes, we have enough knowledge to open a clinic of our own. And best part, BHU provides 50% internal qouta for its students so we've a better chance of getting a good pg seat from such a prestigious institution.
