My College, the Budding AIIMS

This is one of the best medical colleges in India & the second best AIIMS. It is a great boost to the health infrastructure of the state. It is only few years old and already ranked best college and hospital in Eastern India. It has produced many bright students with remarkable rank and commendable selections.

The course curriculum is exhaustive. In 1st year, including 2 semesters we read 3 subjects. Then appear in 1st professional exam for those 3 subjects. 2nd year we study 4 subjects for 3 semesters. At the end there is 2nd Professional exam. In 3rd & 4th year, we study 4 major & 7 minor subjects for 4 semesters. Finally we appear in 3rd professional for these total 11 & 1 more subject that we continue to read from 2nd year. After passing MBBS, there's 1 year compulsory internship.

After passing MBBS, we can appear in PG Entrance exam for Academic residentship in same or other colleges in any of the 20 subjects. We can also continue as Nonacademic residents at places. Job is quite ensured after Graduation. Our college provide Internship for 1 year. Monthly stipend is around ?23,000

Chiasma is our annual cultural fest. It includes sports & cultural events & shows. We have separate club for Sports, Literature, Culture, Academics. They organize all sorts of relevant competitions throughout the year. Ganesh Chaturthi, Saraswati puja, Holi,Diwali are celebrated here. Wissen is our annual Academic fest.

Our total fee for Academics & hostel for 5.5 years is around ?6,000. Regular monthly mess fee is around ?3000. Rest are optional fees for organizing big cultural events or gym participation. These are also modest in amount. It is absolutely feasible!

Our college do not offer any scholarship. It is already taking very less money. There's is consideration of mess fee for economically strained students. Loan facility is not available. We can get awarded other scholarships like NTSE during study period.

Debate, Quiz, Medical quiz, Extempore, dance, Ethnic day, Independence day are celebrated annually. Annual magazine is published by student union. We can join college literary, cultural, dance, music or sports club. Labs are here modestly equipped. Students get good handon experience here. Sports is developing with cricket , football, badminton, basketball , volleyball, table tennis.

I shall rate the hostel infrastructure & facilities 8 out of 10. Big 8 storied buildings with average accommodation of 160 students in each of them. Single room is available from second year, with common bathroom. Bathroom & hygiene is well maintained. Gym, Common room, playground, indoor games hub available inside campus.

As our college is just 7 years old as of now, there are only 2 passed out batches. We are all connected well in social media. They all got great ranks in PG Entrance. They are very helpful thought-out the curriculum & thereafter. We depend a lot on their guidance as a completion mark. There is absolutely 0 ragging in. Campus

I appeared in the AIIMS UG MBBS Entrance exam. It was my first attempt. I got a rank under 1000. Then I went through the offline counselling process in New Delhi. I got a seat in AIIMS Bhubaneswar in 1st counselling.

Faculties are all mostly from dignified colleges. They all try their best to teach us. We have very good teacher student ratio here. They also guide us in details for clinical practices. There are regular theory classes also
