Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is fine, It includes core topics of the field such as Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Spacedynamics, Satellite Technology, Aerospace Structures, Thermodynamics, Flight mechanics and Communication Skills. The curriculum prepares is well to approach the competitive exams around the country also, and it meets the Job requirements for many other Industries. I think my university should improve in the area of Mathematics and Aptitude. Exams will be conducted once in a 3 months. And the are ok not so pressurized.

Internships Opportunities

5

They provide different internships for different streams, as A aerospace engineering student, I was offered with Ansys Course, 3D Printing Course and Matlab course The students will be asked to make different projects in their final year and we came up with two projects where we represented as a team a made a resistojet thruster for small satellites.

Placement Experience

5

From 7th semester students are eligible to get placements, The companies that Visited are like Indigo, AirIndia, Quest Global.. for Aerospace students. Almost 90% of the students get Placed I got placed in Avitron Aerospace in my 8th sem and I started working.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total tution fee - 98000/- per semester, where we have to complete 8 semesters, but I got 50% Scholarship so my fee is 49,000/- tution fee + 2500/- Exam fee per Semester, which combines 51,500/- per Semester, and no more extra charges, only 75000/- for Hostel and 11,000/- for mess

Campus Life

5

There are a lot of Fest held in the campus and lot of events, one of my favourite fest is One india, where the Students from every State represent their own tradition and culture brings out the Unity and Diversity in the campus, We do have a main Library and every branch is having it's own Library, so there are many books filled in four floors in the main library and 1 floor goes with the branch, The faculties use smart board to explain the class and we do have an AC in every class, Our campus is good enough in sports they do give special Scholarships for sports and good training will be provided by best PET teachers. Yes, students run Organisations inside the campus leads to exploring the student opportunities in every aspect.

Hostel Facilities

5

I choosed a 4seater AC room, which costed me around 75000/- per year and it was fine, the facilities are good enough and they also provide a geyser in the bathroom, they provide a chair, table, bed, and a Cupboard for each person. Meal quality is also good, as it's unlimited to everyone and they provide good enough protein and nutrition food, The registration process will be done at the same time of admission, we just need to choose the things accordingly. The Hostel was really better and memorable.

Admission

I got to know about my University through one of my friend, he is a senior to me, he was studying in the same university at that time so he told me the benifits of the course and the opportunities the university provide. I tried to get into the IITs but because of COVID Lockdown, I wasn't able to reach out there. The Admission process is very easy, we just need to apply to a test called LPUNEST and then we have to pass the test, then after we will get a call from the University directly Regarding the admission.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:50, even though they interact very well, I like some of the Aerospace Faculty like Elaya Perumal sir, he is very Polite and Positive, For me he is the best Faculty in every regarding, there are around 6 to 7 subjects in each semester and we used to have a mid exam and a End term exam, they are quite easy, questions were asked from the Explained topics

Night Life

5

The Hostel remains open till 10:30 PM in the night for boys and 7:30 PM for girls. The gym has its own timings for every student they can reserve it, and the life after the classes like after 5pm every one are free to meet around in the campus and they can enjoy the campus beauty and they can spend good enough time with their friends, that I liked the most.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from the second to last year of their studies. Many companies do visit, though several are based in Punjab or nearby areas. Average package is 3-4 lakhs per anum. 20% get placed while the rest dont really opt for it. Rather, they try to get jobs on their own or though internship which also has good scopes in cities like Delhi. The remaining students go for higher studies. My plan is to pursue higher studies abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is not very useful in my views. Except for English none of them are up to date. For example in computing course, we study c language instead of cpp. Also in maths, the calculus is the topic and in exams marks are alloted on the basis of well one wrote in the sheet and it isn't the best method to calculate answer.

Placement Experience:

Like I already told, this college is best to get placement and I guess it is known mainly for the placements. The thing here is, they have joint placement drive along with 2 other campus of cgc. Faculty provide extensive training to crack placement exams and interviews. There are companies with packages from 28-30LPA to companies with package of 3LPA. All depends on how well you perform and what level of knowledge you have. Placement process: 1. Fill placement form online if interested in a company. 2. Online exam - AMCAT or custom exam - Aptitude, English, Technical MCQs and 1-3 Programming question. 3. Interview. Some companies have multiple interview rounds, e.g. 2 technical interview +1 HR interview. This is the basic placement flow. Some companies offers just internship but based on the performance in intership period they will hire you as full time employee.

I chose the mechanical branch as i am interested in how machines and all work. The faculty to student ratio is like 1:35. The faculty is nice and knowledgeable and has proper knowledge about their respective fields. The teaching method is quite good. The exams are done regularly in 1-month gap and to pass the exam, studying is needed.
