- Faculty Teaching Pedagogy is up to the mark.
- Proper skill enhancement classes are taken like Technical and Corporate Training classes.
- It has world class infrastructure. All the facilities are available. AC classrooms well seating arrangements. Clean and tidy campus.
Dislikes
- Rules and regulations or cons. You have to attend the college everyday because 90% attendance is compulsory otherwise you have to pay fine of Rs. 400/ day.
- For males in the name of grooming the asked them to be clean shaven.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum provided by Aktu is up to the mark. The Faculties gives case studies to the students and ask them to solve it according to their knowledge and beliefs. Case study helps us to prepare for the real corporate world. Exams difficulty level in internals are a bit high because the want us to be prepared for every situation for the externals.
Placement Experience
From 3rd semester the companies starts to visit campus. I am in my 4th semester and more than 50 companies have visited for campus placement. The placement percentage is 90%. My plan is to get a good placement from campus. Some of the name Companies visited is HCL Tech, TATA, TCI, PVR, WOODEN STREET, ADITYA BIRLA CHEMICALS, ARVIND FASHIONS etc. Highest Package is 7 lpa and average is 3 lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees I have paid for MBA is INR 1,60,000/yr and the bus fee for day scholars is INR 40,000/yr. Hostel Fee for hostellers is 80,000/ yr for Non- AC rooms and 1,00,000/yr is for AC Rooms. Government Scholarship of 50,000 for SC ST and for general category JEE or CAT is compulsory.
Campus Life
Annual cultural fest named Ignitia held every year between feb and march. Library is also very good all types or course curriculum books are available. The classrooms are well lit and ventilated with AC. Extra curricular activities also takes place every month. Many social groups are run by students like YOGA Clubs etc.
Admission
I haven't tried taking admission in other colleges because PSIT is one of the best college in Kanpur. Their placement % is 90%. Eligibility for the courses is good communication skills because they take PI before the admission to check your communication skills.
Faculty
Faculties are well educated. Their pedagogy is also up to the mark. The take care that every student should understand the topics clearly and easily. MBA Faculties I like are; Dinesh Kumar Pandey, Jatin Pandey, Priyanka Singh, Sonali Gupta, Karan Upadhyay, C.K. Dwivedi. MBA Faculties I dislike; Deepak Shukla, Shrey Shukla. Reason I dislike them is the way the behave with students. Their behavior towards the students is very bad.
Interview Experience
Yes the PI round takes place before the admission. And if you clear the interview they then ask and tell you the process for admission. First you have to secure your seat by paying 25000 in advance which will be deducted from the admission fee at the time of fee submission.
Night Life
CAFE 2004 is the canteen in which every type of veg food is available but the rates are bit high. Campus classes timings are 9 to 5. Yes the locality is safe to roam at night. Samocha and nescafe and brio is students favorite place to eat at the college
