Sinhgad: The College of Dreams

I chose this course because i had an eagerness to learn about all the electronic stuff and the data signaling... since the life nowadays is nothing without internet even to search for a small thing we immediately use Google... So all the data chips, the IC's are the reason i chose the course... The curriculum helps only a little bit to face the real world... you have to prepare for the world your own way... The teaching methods are great already no need for improvement in those but as for curriculum there should atleast be familiarity with the real world situation....

I personally have no experience of internship since i am in first year... but i am looking forward for one.. the college provides internships for student in third year most of the students apply for internships as well because it helps in work experience....

Students right after 5th semester having atleast 8.5 CGPA and above are elligible for the campus interviews... There are almost 300-400 companies coming into the college for placements out of them the top recruiters are : • Infosys • TCS • Microsoft • Nvidia • Thermax • Accenture • Wipro • Oracle The highest package offered is around 45 LPA.. The average package is around 7-8 LPA.. The lowest package is around 2-3 LPA.. Around 80-90% of the students get placed every year through the campus interviews... The college also provides with a placement cell preparing the students for the interviews helping alot in the process.....

The yearly fees for a OBC category student is 63000 while the yearly fees for General category student is 107000.... The yearly fees for SC/ST category student is 8000... and the yearly fees for NT/SBC/VJ/ TFWS is 19500.... The college provides with ample amount of scholarships to help the students few of them are : • Well Mountain Initiative Scholar Program 2025 • Post-Matric Scholarship For SC Students, Delhi 2025 • NLB Scholarship 2025

There alot of fests taking place in the college now and then... out of which Sinhgad Spring Fest is the greatest of them.. it takes place every year in March-April... The college also holds sports events among which Sinhgad Olympus is the one for which all sportsmen are waiting for it takes place in February every year... There are also staff games... The institute has a centralized library which is a 6 floor building out of which 4 floors are filled with books and reading areas.... and the remaining 2 floors are for E-library one can access books online sitting there... The college takes industrial visits every year to big companies making the students learn a few new things in the processs... There are alot of clubs active in the college the greatest club among them is NBN Art Circle.... The college also has a Rocketry Club, Racing Club, etc.

The hostels have big rooms... in one room there are 4 students. The hostel is provided with attached bathrooms and toilets... the mess is also very great.. the food quality is phenomenal.. every sunday there is something special in our plate and sunday evening the mess is shutoff so students can enjoy whatever they want to eat.... For registration in the hostel one has to pay the fees in the hostel office near the SKN college... one can see the room prior to booking which is great..... the hostels are fairly affordable you can pay the fees in installments as welll....

I applied for a large number of colleges before NBNSCOE few of them are : • COEP, Pune • DY Patil, Akurdi • SCOE, Vadgaon And in the first round i got JSPM, Wagholi... which i didn't choose cause i knew i could gett better and i got it.... I couldn't make it to other colleges because the cutoffs of those college for the stream i want was way higher than that i scored in MHT-CET exam... Admission in my college takes place through JEE/MHT-CET... mostly student prefer MHT-CET cause it is a bit easy as compared to JEE... My overall admission experience was great getteing away from home was an exciting and challenging thing for me to do though....

The faculty of the college is great... all the professors act friendly as well as strict as per the situation.... All the staff is well educated and have a teaching experience of more than 10.... According to the New Education Policy of SPPU University there is only one exam taken before the end semester exam.... there are tests taken by the professors now n then to see the performance of the students.... and the exams are tough....

The best hangout spot in the college is the Sinhgad Parking... every eveing after the dinner the parking is filled with students playing badminton and volleyball... there are even eating spots in the college where you can fill your tummy if you want to and for health freaks there is a gym which for boys is open in the morning and for girls is open in the evening... There are lot of hostels in the college such as Shivneri, Sindhudurg, Purandar, ABC Hostel... All the hostels are in great condition.... The locality is also very great around the college... Me myself roam around till 11:00 at night and there is no problem but the girls hostel gets closed at 9:00 pm sharp so they have restrictions.....
