My Views about MMCOE

Now for my batch we have syllabus of Savitribai phule pune university (SPPU). Of 2019 pattern.But now for current fresh batch the college has its own autonomous curriculum which is designed by college it self. The curriculum gives you all the opportunities to explore about your intrested topics in particular subjects of your syllabus. There are more than 15 lectures and practicals are conducted by the college in a week. Each day has 2 practicals and 4 lectures. There is holiday on Saturday and Sunday. The college does not need any improvements and changes in curriculum. The college conducts 3 unit test in a semester and there is one Insem and one endsem exam was conducted by the college. The exams were conducted are in really strict manner

There are some interesting internship opportunities available at college. That college has tieup with multiple companies that provides free and paid internships to the college students. Generally college advices you to do your free internship in first semester of your third year. There are Many things you will learn from this internships. Here are some of my group projects performed at college. 1.Emergency alarm system. 2.Design and devlopement of bladeless fan. 3. Design of Mechanical chasis of the vehicle.

In my college we are able to get placement offers from 6 th semester itself and students are able to give proper company interview from 7th and 8th semester. Where training and placement cell helps you out in your placement journey that gives you better opportunities as of your career. There is team of around 45 member who guides you during placement season at MMCOE. Multiple mass recruiters has visited the campus last year the college has 87% of placements last year also there is an big number of students who opted for the higher education (PG). My plans after my graduation are as I want to expand my father's buisness at my home town. The average package offered at the campus is of 7 Lpa. The highest package offered at the college is of 22 Lpa for mechanical department student from Mercedes Benz company.

As I got my admission from the general category so I had to pay the tuition fees of Rs. 98000 and the fees of Rs.8000 is charged for the exam fees, Library fees and the laboratory security deposit. >First year tuition fees Rs.11000 >Second year tuition fees- Rs.11000. >Third year tuition fees Rs.11000. >Final year tuition fees-Rs.11000. (Note-The security deposit fees has to be paid only at time of admission.) The tuition fees structure for each category is as follows. >for General category-Rs.98000. >for OBC category-Rs.54,522. >for SC ST category-Rs.11000. >for Ews and ebc category-Rs.54522. Scholarships offered by the institution are as follows- 1.Rajarshi chatrapati shahu Maharaj shikshan shulk yojana.(EBC). 2.Dr. Punjabrao deshmukh vastigruh nirvaah bhatta yojana (DTE). 3. TFWS. 4.EWS. There are also many scholarships are for the Sc St category students. There are also scholarship for girls from EWS category. College also offers the financial aid to the scholar students for their tution fees.

College organises the annual fest in the month of February named as ENSEMBLE. The ENSEMBLE is full of the cultural and technical activities for students. Students also enjoys alot during the ensemble period as it runs for 7 days. There are two libraries at MMCOE which are normal library and a digital library including 60 computers in it which are for usage to students for the online work purpose. The common library has all the refrence books, reasearch papers related to all departments of the college . There are separate libraries present for each of the department. The college provides all the sport facilities to the students There are some Student runned social groups present at MMCOE 1.NSS. 2.Social welfare club. 3.Yognidhi club

There are two different hostels in the college campus one is degiri hostel for boys and godavari hostel for girls. With the seprate mess facilities. The hostel will provide you Bed, cupboards and study table.but there are not any single room allotment allowed in the hostel. You have to stay in sharing rooms only. Registration can be done on the time of admission as there are limited seats at the hostel they provides it to you on first come first serve basis. As there is not such loss that hostel provides you all the facilities so the hostel is affordable at its cost. There is an area around college has lot of options for pgs and rented apartments. But the rates are pretty high around the college. If possible I will recommend you to take the accomodation at some distance from college for the cheaper rates. Otherwise the college hostel is the best option.

As I mentioned I have applied for the JSPM college at narhe for the mechanical department. But after consulting with some my seniors and known ones I got to know that MMCOE is the famous college in pune for its mechanical department. Then I applied for the MMCOE college and took admission in it. Admission process at MMCOE is manage by the CAP rounds there are also several ways to get admission at MMCOE such as the Management quota. The admission process of CAP rounds is consist of 3 rounds for each round you have to fill the option form where you give your college and department preferences in descending order. As you qualifies for any department cutoff you can take the admission. You have to visit the allotted college within given period of time and confirm your seat at the college with payment of full fees you admission is confirmed.

As I am a student of Mechanical department. Ican give you brief information about my department. In mechanical department there are two divisions of 60 students each for First, Second , Third and Fourth year respectively. There is an faculty mentor for every 20 students batch. They looks after you for your problems at college not only academic problems they also address your personal problems with care and proper guidance. There are two exams in each semester one is minor exam and a major exam. On basis of these exams your result for semester depends. Unit tests also conducted after completion of the unit for each subject. At mechanical department my mentor is Dr. Swapnil Lahane sir. My favourite faculty is Dr. Pramod Purandare sir. Who teaches Engineering Thermodynamics to the second year students.

The College is located at the city centre where all the facilities like cafe, restaurant,food chains, shopping malls , Dmart, brand showrooms are on walking distance. There are some famous spots to hangout such as 1.Fc road. 2.Aict tekdi. 3.vandevi tekdi. There is not as such any security problem around the college area. You can roam in the area at night without any hesitation. Hostel in time-9pm.
