My inner feeling on College life

I have keen interest in mathematical subjects , so i choose Data science subjects as elective for last 4 semisters, The subjects are Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural language processing, Big data, I choose compute science for being interested in programming , The curriculum prepares well for real world applications as in every core subject we have practical labs where we can gain practical knowledge, There are many areas to be improved in the course curriculum, one of them is to remove unnecessary subjects , The teaching method is good when compared to other colleges. The frequency of the exam is daily if it comes to mid and sem exams , The timings of the exams are from 9 AM to 12PM. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate to difficult

The company i worked is feynn labs, I received 2000 per month as stipend for 3 months, the role i got was machine learning engineer, I worked on projects like stock exchange analysis, Credit card revenue analysis and also on dashboards. Foe every project i taked 6 to 10 days, I taked the help of colleges and finished the projects. The outcome is good, manager appreciated me for the work that i have done in the projects.

from 4-1, every student becomes eligible for campus placement ,but if the student has backlogs, the student wont be eligible for the placement session. The companies that visited are IBM, Accenture, Deloitte, TCS, Tiger Analytics, HSBC bank, federal bank. The higest package that the company offered was 12 LPA and the average package that the company offered was 7 LPA . for Software development engineer they offered highest package, 70-80% of the students got placed in the MNC's . I joined in the startup as i was not selected in campus placements.

I paid 150000 for the first year as i received scholarship from the college by giving the entrance exam , To maintain the scholarship the student must have to get 8 CGPA in every year, I paid full fees from second year as i missed the min CGPA . As there is no caution fees, development fees, lab fees, Every thing is included in the admission fees. We can get acess to coursera .In this platform we can learn new courses and also we can do certifications.My batchmates paid full amount of fees as they have not taken entrance exam.If the student scores less than 3000 , the student will get 50% scholarship, if the student scored less than 100, the student will get 75% scholarship. If the student scored rank 1 , the student get 100% scholarship.

Vinayaka chavithi, Diwali , Dussehra . These festivals are celebrated grandly in the college, And in the national festivals like independence day, republic day , The college management conducts ideathons, hackathons, story writing competetions . We have online learning platform .from there we can get acess to various books, journals, research papers . The accessibility of the books are very high. The facilities in the classrooms are projector, notice board, The management conducts various sports events like cricket, chess, badminton , when it comes to extracurricular activities , they actively conduct hackathons, ideathons, coding clubs, We have whatsapp group for the students. we can post every stuff in that.

In hostels , we can get facilities like free wifi, one bed,one table and one chair for every student, and also we get washing machine to wash the clothes . The cost of washing is 40 rupees for a single wash. It is totally woth. The menu quality is good and hygiene. They put non-veg 4 times in a week , In afternoon and night we have many food items , and in evening times we can get snacks with tea , milk , boost , bread ,jam and butter. The registration process is very simple. The management asks the student if you want to join the hostel , min deposit is 10000, and we will get refund when we leave the hostel. The affordability of the hostel is little bit expensive, I stayed in college hostel , I resided at Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam. In my locality the prices of the hostel are good and not too much expensive

The first reason is I scored good rank in this college entrance exam, I applied for some private universities, some of them are SRM university, VIT Vellore, Vignan. I got confirmed admission from GITAM, VIT, During my time the fees structure in the VIT college is very high when compared to GITAM ,so i preferred to join in GITAM, I got rejected from BITS exam as i scored less marks in that exam, I have not prepared well for the BITS exam, so i got rejected in that exam, They conduct entrance exam for the admission and also they check 10th,12th marks and every student must score above 60% in the academics to get selected in the engineering admission.

The faculty to student relationship is very good , The faculty clears the the concept issues if the student araises any doubt, The faculty i liked the most is srinivas rao sir , He teached pattern recognition and machine learning in my third year of engineering, He also encouraged me to do research on Machine learning and pattern recognition, He explains the concept very practically. Naga jyothi mam, sireesha mam , veerabhadra sir are the best faculties according to me, I dont like amarnath sir, He teaches the concept very good, but when it comes to marks and grading he is very strict ,especially in lab exams, For every semister we have 3 mid exams, When it comes to difficulty mid exams are easier than semister exams, 30-40% of students fails to clear the semister exams , most of them are not allowed to write the sem exams due to lack of attendance.The course curriculum is well designed for the students.

We have acess to gym, library and public area , The gym and library is free of cost for the students and faculty members,College timings are from 8 to 5. In between we can get breaks, The hostel timings are 24/7 , we can come and go at any time. The famous hangout places inside the university is canttens and playing ground. It is very safe to roam at night in the college premises.
