I choose geology beacuse my father had done his bachelor's and masters in this subject and He influenced me to take geology. I'm grateful for choosing it, it's interesting and you learn a lot about earth and various geological processes and phenomenon. The geology department has different sections, viz. radioactive minerals section, mineral section, rocks section, fossils section, precious and semi-precious minerals section, antique section and sea life section. One of the longest fossilized tusk of Stegodon ganesa (Wadia 1924), a relative of ancestors of elephants is exhibited here also.

Fees is not much.. it's around 13,000.. and for batchmates of other categories and students belonging to economically weaker sections, fees is often refunded.. The fee amount is affordable.. however I've heard that it increases by some amount every year. Still I would say benefits are provided according to youur financial conditions!

National Service Scheme (NSS) aims which at developing the personality and character of the student youth through voluntary community service. Students are encouraged to participate in games at College as well as University level and the selected students play in national events also. Every volunteer who joins NCC in the college as a cadet is imparted training consisting of regular parades, training in the handling of light weapons and other activities of related nature. NCC has a programme of extension activities consisting of tree plantation, literacy drive; vigilance, awareness, civil defence, population education, participation in health and family welfare programmes and above all our NCC cadets are ever ready to donate blood on all occasions.

I applied for geology only in this college and, in other colleges I've had applied for biology which was my subject in 12th grade. But I wanted to study geology as my major so that was the only reason I choose this college. And also I've heard from my father how good this college is and honestly our teacher Dr Mateen Hafiz and Dr Arjun singh are best.????

Faculty guides and provide mentorship to students. You can contact them anytime, still they will solve your doubts. And as for exams, marking is quite tight, a lot of students fail in there exams. There is a saying in this university that the more sheets you write in exams, the more marks you'll get, however I don't believe this. Major drawback is that results are provided after long time. It takes around 6-8 months.

I would not suggest anyone to roam around at night but during day it's safe. Nescafe and canteen is the favourite spot of students. During gaps between classes student often sit on the benches in ground. Hostels are only provided to boys. There's no hostel facilities for girls.
