- Washrooms are always dirty and with no proper mirrors and flushes
- The placements are good but students are getting placed for a low packages.
- Sometimes the teaching isn't good and becomes difficult to understand it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is relevant and teaches everything that an AI and DS student requires. The AI and DS department is very cool and conducts many events. They teach a ton of coding languages like c , java and python . As much as I know ,there is no improvement needed in this course . The exam difficulty level is medium
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies that come for internship. I am not sure much about the role and the payment that they receive. The internships start at 5th sem. There are many projects and outcomes to clarify the tasks . I have not much idea about it
Placement Experience
From 7th sem , they become eligible for placements. There are many companies like infosys, tcs, mphasis, plancks etc. who have come to our college so far. The percentage of students getting placed , I would say 40 to 50. But I am not so sure. My plans after degree is to try to get job in on campus placements or else try for doing masters in abroad
Fees and Financial Aid
The year fees that I will be paying is 115956 as I have joined the college through kcet . The tution fees , college and other fees are already added to the amount mentioned above. There is a skill lab fee to be paid which is 10000. This is based on kcet category. As far of now there is no increase in any fees. There are scholarships where we can apply and we recieve amount like 13000 and maximum is 25000. These are state scholarships. But I have not applied to any scholarships mentioned above . There are many quotas available where my friends are joined. There is a management quota where they pay around 300000 - 400000 per year . There is SC /ST quota where they pay only 50000 per year .
Campus Life
There are many, college fests taking place also many hackathons as well. There are many books related to different courses and even for GATE exam preparation books but not much journals are there. There are many sports taking place like cricket, badminton, throwball, relay etc There are many student run social groups like dance club , technical club etc
Admission
During Kcet councelling, I thought of applying to Mysore university for biomedical and robotics courses as I am a bio student. But didn't get a seat due to the cutoff and had to choose this college. The reason I chose this college was it is near my home and also the branch is with a very promising stable future. Though I thought that I couldn't take any computer-related courses as it would be difficult for me but still choose because of its high demand.
Faculty
There are many faculty members and are very approachable and we can seek help whenever required. The faculty student relationship is good. So far as first sem student , I like the physics department faculty where they are strict but also friendly. So far I hate no faculties here and I hope it remains the same . The exams are relatively easy to medium as it's vtu college the papers come from there . Exams like maths, physics are easy but Internet of things exam is relatively difficult and time consuming where a lot of students fail there. The course curriculum is relevant .
Night Life
There are gyms , cafeterias and library where we can chill. Campus timings is from 8:40 to 3:50. Famous hangout places include the cafeteria, the canopy which is sitting place etc The locality is quite safe to roam around night although there is a time restriction.
