Course Curriculum Overview
The course is divided into trimesters across 2 years. Main term exams comes every 3 months. Students can choose their specializations in their second year. Every students has to compulsory do an internship to get an industry exposure during their learning time.
Internships Opportunities
The college do bring companies for internship for students, but they need to clear the test and interviews for getting the internship. Not all internship are paid. Students can find internships in companies by themselves.
Placement Experience
Placements usually starts from the second year. EY, Deloitte, Federal Bank, ICICI are some popular companies that comes for the placements in the college. The average package is 4 lakhs and goes up to around 14 lakhs. Approximately more than 80% of the students get placed every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The overall tution fees of doing PGDM at Rajagiri Business School is 7,50,000. For the first year, we have to pay 4 lakhs and the remaining to be paid at the beginning of the second year. Fees for MBA is around 6 lakhs. Scholarships are provided for students coming from other states and countries.
Campus Life
The college has many student led committees that organizes various activities throughout the year. This help the students to undertake leadership roles, manage teams and foster their ideas. Inflore- the annual management fest of the college is a popular fest involving many colleges around the country, solely conducted by the students. The college also has 2 nicely built libraries equipped with more than thousands of books, and journals allowing students access to learning across various fields and subjects.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel has all the basic facilities- fan, study table, cupboard. There are single rooms available for students also. Complaints if any are modified by the next day. Food is a problem for some students because of the lack of variety in dishes and taste sometimes.
Admission
Rajagiri college was my only choice for doing my post graduation because of the college's reputation as one of the top business school in Kerala. Also the college has an AACSB accreditation and placement opportunities which makes it different from other colleges here. KMAT, CMAT, CAT, XAT,MAT exams are the accepted entrance exams in the college. The cutoff for KMAT is 108, CMAT is 30 percentile, CAT is 50 percentile, XAT is 15 and MAT is 500. The admission process include a test, GD and PI.
Faculty
The faculties in Rajagiri college are highly qualified and has industry experience. They are very much helpful and approachable in terms of clearing doubts and regarding help with placements. They are well prepared and equipped in taking classes.
Interview Experience
Candidates should clear the required eligibility criteria mentioned for the entrance exams first to get the admission. The admission process includes a test, gd and personal interview for every students. The processes were very simple. We should be aware of current events and basic maths and business knowledge to clear the tests.
Night Life
The college has a nice environment. The college has a nice view filled with trees and gardens. There is an open gym and open library in the campus, two cafeterias for a quick break session. There are some nearby burger spots and tea shops outside the college. Campus timings are usually from 8am to 8pm, in cases of extra classes. Hostel timing for girls are upto 7 pm.There is no medical facilities nearby or in the college for emergencies.
