The college have small parking a small ground
The college have indoor games like table tennis badminton etc
The infrastructure is bit old and new building are coming

The college located at the top of hill so it’s difficult to walk
The thalassery town is not good as expected especially at night
The overall college is small compared to other engineering colleges in Kerala

Course Curriculum Overview

The teaching meetings is old just like in high school as teacher will give boring lectures and notes nothing special about lectures In each semester they conduct 2 series exam the series exam Mark will be added to the interval marks

Class Size: 69Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are some internships in college some company's offer the stipend also The stipend are low compared to other premium colleges and there are so many private internship by giving money to them we should do minimum 2 project

Placement Experience

The college authorities says they have good placement the highest placement 24 lakh per year . The college placement is more for the cs and ec department compared to other branches In the college websites the average package is 8 lakh per year

Fees and Financial Aid

This college is under ihrd so there is 40 thousand Indian rupees for a year and the course is for 4 year and there is scholarship for economically backward students the 40 thousand fee does not include the exam fees

Campus Life

There are annual fest and collage fest etc the college union conducts most of the programs compared to other ihrd colleges the gec college conducts more programme the college ground for football is small there is court for badminton and volleyball etc

Hostel Facilities

The college hostel is not so good actually the college hostel is conducted by another private team under the name of college. There are so many pg near to the college and they are cheap and clean compared to college hostel

Admission

I chose this college because it nearer to my house and my entrance mark are not good enough to get to the good colleges i may get the other college for other departments but i chose ec department at thalassery

Faculty

There are some great faculties but most of them are not good to be a engineering faculty majority of the faculties are from hometown itself and some of them are praising for higher examination The faculties are friendly as any other engineering college

Night Life

There Is No hostel time for boys hostel but for ladies hostel there is some strict timing The night life near college is bad there no chai shops after 10 pm there is no bus service near college after 8 pm at evening there are some quiet good snack shop the college is located near party office and there high political influence

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.
