Calicut University Campus Review

This course provides me the knowledge required to achieve a job and also technical knowledge to achieve a great job position.It provides me the information that can be used in real-world applications such as R program.I suggest including some more practical knowledge than theories.Also there should particular time gap between each semester completion and exams.

The fees I paid for the 2 year Post graduate course is 9000 Rs.The money I paid during the admission is 3360 Rs which include tuition fees,registration fees etc as SC category.The fees of my batchmates other than my category is approximately 5000Rs.The financial aid or scholarship available for students is E-grants.

In the campus we conduct a lot of programmes and other extra curricular activities.Also youth festivals are conducted to improve the skills of students except studying.We have a best University library with a lots of book collection for study purpose.We have smart classroom in each department required for project presentations and other study purposes.The Calicut University have large stadium used for sports which spreads in acres of land with two football fiels and one synthetic track of 400 meters.We conduct sports competition every year in which interested students can participate.

The hostel provides food and accomodation for students.There are 4 students staying in one room amd each have a bed,table and a chair.Each day food menu differs and the quality of food is average.The registration for hostel includes filling a form with our details and a small amount of money is paid at the time of admission.

I applied in the St.Josephs Devagiri college but I chose Calicut university over that because I felt from my research that the infrastructure and faculties are far better here with deep knowledge and good teaching skills.I got admission in this college followed by entrance exam and also through an interview.I heard that studying in this university gives you an better reputation and perfect job oppurtunity.

We have 26 students in one class but there is not enough faculties in the department so we lack attention to provide for weak students.I like our assistant professor Dr.Dileepkumar because he is one of the most efficient teacher who help us based on the insight of our future.We have 4 semesters each foolowed by 4 semester exams and also internal exams for each subjects in all semesters.

We have a gym,cafe,library and park.The hostel is open 24 hours but has food timings.Class hours is 9.30 AM-4.00PM.Safe to roam at night.There are lots of food spots outside and inside the campus for hangouts.
