Course Curriculum Overview

2

The college should stop opting useless open elective subjects and should focus on choosing subjects more relevant to the real-world application and knowledgeable. Still have hard time understanding why is Biology included in engineering cause I had the subject ones and it isnt MCQ based... 24-28 hours of minimum Lectures per week, that sure is hectic in the college.

Placement Experience

1

As we know students from 6th sem. or afterwards are usually seen getting placed are being able to attend on-campus placement drives, in this college the placement drives only happen for final year students and most of which is sales-marketing job companies doing mass hiring. You will Hardly find a IT company organizing placement drive here, if you find any it probably is offering some worst package with long contract of 3 years or something.... After graduating from here with no option you obviously will join some courses for up-skilling, learning and finding a job

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fees structure changes for every batch every year i.e. it increases by large amount, students of batch 2021 pay 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh as I know since am from same batch and students of batch pay about 1.8 lakh to 3 lakhs per year. The college committe just puts everything on the student and always finds how to make more money out them, one thing that disgusts is that if you fail to pay your due fee within time or you're late by 3-4 days you won't be allowed to attend Internals sometimes... In the Fee receipt there are so many things included into the list, many of which is to make money for themselves. If you OPT for management seats then just forget about th scholarships because of the new ridiculous changes brought by Congress govt. in state. If you are alloted with govt. seat you will be eligible for SSP scholarship. SC/ST availing more benefits and MUSLIM community too.

Campus Life

2

The college needs to work on their calender to schedule event, fests very seriously. The college organizes fests, events ones in a year for 5 days of a week that's all. The college library has many books and also provides e-library facility too. Sometimes, rarely there will be some activity in college like sports... The Clubs are non-existant in the college they only open or work on that one week of the year duirng fest.

Admission

I chose the college only because I wasn't able to attend CET back then and at that time this was the only college in our district with lowest priced management seats in it , And back then the college did lot of advertising regarding the college showing it was the best one here. The Malnad College of engineering hassan and Navkis college of Engineering in the same district are better than this since MCE is an autonomous tier-1 college which is better in every aspect, whereas Navkis College of engineering is VTU affiliated college like RIT but it has better placement assistance and record.

Faculty

4

Time ago the college had many well experienced faculties, later on many of them resigned to join different college in the same district for better pay at month end. There still are well exprienced faculties but only countable...., and all of the lectures are easily approachable at their cabins. The college has subjects provided by VTU many of them is outdated, irrelevant in toady's time. 3 internals for each subject and 2 lab internals.

Night Life

4

The college has a good security though, a college with worst placement history, not so good faculty, depressing envinroment with useless assignments wouldn't let you in without an ID card. The college has Gym which is open for boys in moring and for girls & faculty in evening. Since the college hostel is within the college campus the hostelites to follow the rules and timings set by college committee, the common places to hangout in college are college ground, canteens and few bamboo garden.

the placements oppurtunity are there and you can grab a very good paackage from here. The highest is around 44 , average is 7 lpa. Students become eligible for final placemnts from 6-7 semester. Companies like thermo fisches , fractal , belc , hitachi and many other, have visited. The percentage of placemnt is quite high but people grabbing more than 30lpa is very few. after degree i want to go for job directly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly I don't a thing about the relevance of the curriculum, this curriculum thingy has been changing every now and then in our college I hope atleast they stick to one curriculum and make us study that and don not change it further. As I've mentioned before, I was not informed in prior about the syllabus so obviously there's no specifi aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. I think the curriculum will prepare me to face the world way more wisely and strategically than how I'd deal with it otherwise. I think one area they can improve is in physics, they can give us more seminars, projects and stuff to check our understanding. That would really help a lot of people to be creative and help people to get the exposure. Coming to the difficulty level of the paper, I know nothing because I haven't written the sem exam yet so, I know nothing. But, can guarantee one thing!! Be careful, cause as per sources our college is known for it's tough question paper, so y'all better study.
