Course Curriculum Overview

5

Computer science subjects like DSA, DBMS, OS, Networking, and Software Engineering, which are fundamental for placements and higher studies. The course provides a solid theoretical foundation, which is useful for competitive exams like GATE,hands-on experience with trending technologies like AI,

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (4th year). Few companies visit VBSPU for placements, and most are mass recruiters offering IT support and sales-related roles. Since placement opportunities are limited, only a small percentage of students secure on-campus jobs. Average Package: ~ 3-3.5 LPA Many students rely on off-campus placements through LinkedIn, referral hiring, or applying directly to companies. Many students prepare for government jobs like GATE, SSC, or banking exams. My plans after BTech Freelancing & personal projects to improve skills and build a strong portfolio.

Fees and Financial Aid

Same for all categories Ist Year Fee. Rs 63874 2nd Year Fee. Rs 63674 3rd Year Fee. Rs 6374 4th year Fee. Rs 63874 UP Government Scholarship (For SC/ST/OBC/Genral students) Covers the tuition fees and hostel fee for eligible students based on their family income. Annual Family Income Limit: ?2 Lakh for OBC, ?2.5 Lakh for SC/ST. Apply through the UP Scholarship Portal

Campus Life

2

Campus life at VBSPU is moderate, with a mix of academic and social experiences. Since placements and industry exposure are limited, students focus more on self-learning and preparing for off-campus opportunities The central library has a good collection of books and journals, but access to updated research papers is limited. Computer labs exist but need upgraded systems and better internet connectivity Inter-department sports competitions are held, but participation is limited.

Hostel Facilities

5

Room Type: Mostly shared rooms (2-3 students per room), single rooms are limited. Furniture Provided: Basic setup including bed, table, chair, cupboard, and fan. Electricity & Water: Available 24/7, but power cuts occur occasionally. Mess food is average, with limited variety and repetitive The menu includes dal, rice, chapati, seasonal vegetables, and sometimes paneer or sweets. Admission Process: Apply during college admission or at the hostel office. Annual hostel fees: 53,400( including mess fee)+ 1000 ( caution money)

Admission

Some colleges I applied to, had higher cutoff So I chose VBSPU because of affordability, location, faculty reputation. Candidates must have completed 10+2 (PCM/PCB) with a minimum percentage. Appear for the JEE exam and based on the rank obtained aktu/ upsee councelling is take place. If seats remain vacant after the UPSEE counselling, the university may also offer direct admission to vacant seats after aktu/CUET counselling.

Faculty

5

Most faculty members are knowledgeable and experienced in their respective subjects. Some professors are helpful and guide students well, while others focus only on lectures. Each student ks assigned a mentor to solve their personal or college related issues. A mentor - mentee meeting is held once a week. [Mr. Ashok Kumar Yadav] he is very supportive in project guide or research work. The semester system follows two main exams per year (Mid-Sem & End-Sem). There are also internal assessments, assignments, and lab exams. The marking scheme consists of: Theory Exams: 100 marks Practical/Lab Exams: 30 marks Internal Assessments: 20marks

Night Life

3

As a girl, nightlife is mostly limited to our rooms, corridors, or the hostel backyard since the hostel gates close at 5:30 PM in winter and 6:30 PM in summer. Since the campus has strict timing rules, students usually unwind inside the hostels or visit nearby areas. Popular places inside the college: ? Campus Grounds – Used for evening walks, group discussions, and casual meetups. Hostel Common Rooms – Some hostels have TVs & indoor games (carrom, chess, table tennis) for relaxation. Terraces & Open Spaces – Many students spend time on hostel rooftops to relax at night. Vbspu is located in semi urban area ,nightlife option are limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose B.Tech CSE course as I am interested in Computer and Coding. Don't go behind the trend. Choose the course according to your interest. Every course and specialization is difficult in its own. Personally I suggest if you took addmission and you are in 1st semester, please focus on your studies. Don't kept roaming and bunking classes as 75% attendance is also necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is Totally academic level which is easy to moderate There are only one or two coding subjects which is done in form of workshops The overall syllabus is good but old and is related to aktu syllabus which needs a change and won't help in technical field a lot Curriculum is still moderate and easy to clear but still some students are back and detained due to less attendance Which is the biggest issue in this college that is 85% u can only take 6-7 holidays in a semester which is so less and two three holiday will let u detained in sessionals which will overall decrease the internal marks in your overall cgpa of college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects like ITC, COI influenced me as why they are in the curriculum they don't provide any skills for the engineering students. Students also studies these subjects in one day and give exam and they forget these subjects add no importance in the curriculum. There are subjects like acquiring buisness communication which helps us to improve our conversation skills confidence that is helpful in the future while interviews. The improvement in the subjects which is not useful for engineering and to increase more things which helps us in coding make us skill good. The frequency and timings of exams are quite tough there are consecutive classes along sessional exams student always stressed and the attendance is also higher so the student can't also take leave for his own mentality stability and to relax . The difficulty is quite high .
