Reflecting on My college Journey

Now, from this academic year, the curriculum was fully changed. The 3 year degree replaced by 4 year professional degree. I think it's good to get good job after the completion of the degree. Now we can choose different subjects in different semesters. There is major and minor subjects. We can change the minor subjects.

Many internship opportunities available for students in different colleges and companies. For internships in colleges, there is stipend is low. But in case of some companies, we get a good amount as stipend. Internships provide by companies are in very least. Only few companies provide internships for our college students.

Campus placements in our college is poor condition. Only very few students only placed after course completion through campus placements. And after course completion, many of the students writes bank exam and placed in various banks. And others writes other competitive exams and placed in various sectors.

For General and OBC Students:- Admission fee- 10000 Tution fee- I SEM- 2500, II SEM- 2500, III SEM- 5500, IIII SEM- 5500 Exam fee- 3000 ( for every 6 months) Lab fee- 2000 ( one time ) Special fee- 1000 (yearly) For SC and ST Students:- Admission fee- 5000 Tution fee- same as general ( They not need to pay, it cover E-grantz scholarship) Exam fee- 3000 Lab fee- 2000 (one time) Special fee- 1000 (yearly) The OBC students have also E-grantz scholarship,but it gets after cource completion and it too low cost compared to SC and ST students .

The college conducts lot of programs. That includes academic programs like seminars, subject expo, workshops, internships, etc and extracurricular programs like arts,sports,union election,food fest,special day celebrations,etc. The Library of my college is very large. Many of the books are available in library include academic books, novels,stories,poems,etc. My overall experience about this is satisfied.

Only girls hostel in the college campus.where the rooms are very neet and clean. And meals are very good,it's based on time table . It includes meat, fish, vegetables, biriyani,etc. Registration process of hostel is very simple, only need to contact with hostel office. Rent of hostel with food for one month is ?5500. Lot of rent rooms and lodges available near the college.

My college is a college under Mahathma Gandhi(MG) University. This university is the one of the top university in the state.And my college have NAAC accreditation with grade 'A++'. This two reasons attracts me to this college. During the admission time. I applied about 10 colleges under MG university. And I get admission in my favourite college. Here admission procedure is by online. First we want to make online registration. then we can select the colleges we want.then submit it. After some days they publish the result. If we get admission in a college. We can go to that college for admission with all documents.

Faculty members are with high qualifications.They help to students in academics and extra curriculum activities. Very some faculties weak in convey the chapters to students. Here UG,PG and Phd courses are available.Courses are in semester system. For every 6 months, conduct exam.Exam is conducted by MG University,Kottayam. The mark system is CGPA out of 5.

Gym and cafeteria situated inside of the college campus. And many of the cafeterias are situated outside of the college.These are closed at night. And the city near the college named 'Vengallur' fully ON in night. Only girls hostel in college, it closed on 5:30 PM. Boys need to take hostel in outside the college where no strict restrictions.
