Remarks

Mar ivanios College is the meeting place of talents, trends, open debates etc. It is a blessing to study in this college. We became the part of great tradition, heritage and prosperity by studying in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Since the college is autonomous, it's curriculum is good. They includes essential things without giving burden to students. Its short compared to other universities. So it's easy to score marks here and also helps us to aware about background, relevance etc.

Internships Opportunities

No.College doesn't provide any internship. Since it is situated in the capital city, there are so many opportunities for internship in outside. It also gives us opportunity to explore more facilities outside. So this opens a door to the outside world.

Placement Experience

4

College offers good placements and job opportunities by good companies. There are so many people who find job by exploring this opportunity comments that they were lucky to get jobs through this. Banks often visits and place our students.

College Events

5

Ivanofest is the greatest attraction of this college. There will be all artistic celebrations on that that time.Mar Gregorious Basketball tournament was another event.students from different colleges all around Kerala came and compete for the trophy.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is feasible. At the beginning we have to pay some amount which is less than 6000.At the end of every semester we have to pay exam fees which is less than 2000.So fees is not expensive, but affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Post metric scholarship is available.Higher education scholarship is also available. There were several more scholarships for reserved categories. For meritorious students ,there were scholarships. Since it is an arts and science college, no loans were available.

Campus Life

5

They all are good. This college often gets the overall championship in Kerala kalolsavam. College gives support to sports too. Basketball tournament in the college is famous. It encourages sports, music etc. There were so many cine artists studying here. College also has good lab facilities.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel infrastructure and facilities was good. Hostel offers home like atmosphere.food was good. There is playground and enough studying facilities. Students were comfortable there. There was also prayer in hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

They were helpful.Alumini network consists of civil servants, cine artists, writers, cinematographersetc. They provide financial aid and other supports to the college. Some of them are Libin IAS,Thara kalyan,Suresh unnithan, Mahalekshmi etc.

Exam Structure

Exam will conduct at the end of the semester. Before the university exam, there will be 2 or 3 internals to make students prepare for the university exam. The best of all these internals were taken for the continuous evaluation mark.

Admission

I got admission here through allotment. My name is in the merit list. After its publication they announced the interview list. After this I got admission. Since they admit only students with top grades,it is difficult to get an admission in this college.

Faculty

5

Faculty is the real strength of this college. They were friendly, approachable and have great knowledge. They were models. They try their level best to teach their students. They were sincere and understandable.

The placement process is very unique in this University. The process starts in the second semester by way of internship. The students are well trained in the various aspects of the interviews and it helps the students to be well equipped to handle job interviews.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my opinion my course MA History is very very traditional. As a student who learn this could only became a Lecture by the syllabus and curriculum. But the improvement in archealogy related pracrical sessions and multi-subject learning by blending it with more geography and politics could make the course more effective and also job securing.

they do offer placements for both ug and pg. But For Pg Structured palcements are limited. For Pg students, especially in commerce and management placement oppartunites are offered. Companies like Federal Bank, Deloitte mostly offered. Since we had no placements, iam focusing currently on content creation and writing, actively working with online media due to my creative interest.

I got to know more about the rules and regulations, and functionality of my country during the course. the course teaches the structure of Indian democracy, its functions etc. It digs deep into politics of the country making sure that when students graduate they have enough info to face reality with politics for india. we learned about constitutions and structure of many major countries. Exams were conducted not according to the rest of the students for us. we had late exams and hence late results and late graduation. difficulty level of exams if you study well enough you can crack it. its theory based degree

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good. At some points, it needs revision. The subjects feel ancient. The teaching also need to be improved. The typical lecture method is very unhelpful. Instead they should introduce digital learning. Also the course lacks in-hand experience on the subject. Rather than the robotic manual learning there's no activity involved

Course curriculum is great and it helps us to prepare for the real world applications and also for the further academic pursuits.By the materials for the syllabus were most not available so it was so difficult for us to prepare for the exams and also the faculty face it so hard to teach us without proper materials. Also the face difficulty in the question level as we are forced to write the exams without proper materials. Our exams were not properly conducted they have published the exam date all of a sudden eventhough we studied semester wise they conducted exams yearly and 1&2 semester together it had us so hard to prepare for exams. Also our valuation was not properly done so only fews percentage of the students were only passed in the exams. The carelessness of the authorities spoiled life of many students like us.
