Likes

The campus- Its absolutely beautiful full of greenary. You can definetly enjoy the campus life, and the experience of enjoying the nature. The campus looks amazing particularly in the season of winter. We all used to enjoy the campus and the .
The faculty is the best. Pursuing a phd all the proffesors have got their phds from foreign institutes, and nobody can better qualify for teaching than them.
The canteen food is also the best thing in the campus. There is even a dominos outlet in the campus.

Dislikes

There are some entry restrictions into hostels which i didnt like.
There is even restricted timing for library. I want it to be open all day and night.
The fests need to have more budget, cause it make the student experience beautiful

Course Curriculum Overview

The course circullum is well designed with suffient amount of credits for each subject and semister. I think we can give a 9/10. Maybe the credits for some subjects can be decreased and for subjects like maths it can be given more importance.

Internships Opportunities

The internship oppurtunies are also good. Like 60% of the students get intern in both core and non core fields. But a major skills are appreciated to get a intern. And maintain a good cgpa, above 7.5 ar 8.

Placement Experience

The placements are so good.You can even get foreign companies either you want to go into core or a non core background. An the average package given by the companies is absolutely worth it. Nearly 90% of students get placed

Campus Life

There are different types of clubs in the college, which include technical clubs, cultural clubs. And also you can choose NCC,NSS or any other sports involvement activities that takes place int the campus.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are good.You can even get hot water. But the food in hostels is not upto the mark as of now. Being a south indian I'm not liking the food. And there is no allow for high power electronic gadgets into the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

The average package at iit dhanbad is so good. And with my rank, the best college i can choose is this. The admission process takes place through josaa counselling. The campus atmosphere is so beautiful compared to others.

Faculty

The exam marks are distributed a sfollows: 1) Quiz 1- 10 marks 2) Mid semister examination- 30 marks 3) Quiz -2 - 10 marks 4) End semister examination- 50 marks And the grading is completly in the hands of the professor.

Night Life

The nigtht life is amazing. You can go to a library to read journals, or go to a gym for physical fitness, and also all the club activities takes lace in the evening which gives you some relief other than academics.

Placements start 6th semester. Companies TCS, Wipro, Deloitte and local companies. Average package is 4 to 5 LPA. I plan to work as a full stack web developer or i will also apply off campus for better softer roles.

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are eligible for placement. Name of the company I forgot but nvidia amazon comes each year and take some students Paypal offered 4 students 28 lpa and Swiggy gave 2 students 35 lpa Nvidia gave 2 students 25 lpa Highest package data is not out as of now Avg is good this year I guess it's was 12-13 lpa Percentage is I guess reality 60/150

Raw and real side of NIT JSR

Placement Experience:

One of the major advantage of my college is it's placement percentage and average package. For my branch placement percentage is our 80% and average package of my branch is 16.5 lpa this year. Highest package last year was of 1.44 crore from a company rubirik. I plan to work in a semiconductor manufacturing company like Texas instruments and qualcomm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

A Comprehensive Journey

Placement Experience:

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.

All You need to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director. After this we were called to campus for pre-registration for our course there we had to submit our documents and verify our identity. That's it !!...Read More
